Was an awful match today though, Andy seemed bothered physically by something, he flexed about 3 times in the 2nd set and was lucky to get out in 2

Seb . Really like this guy and SO much fun to watch, bummer they had to meet early. Whenever they meet you're in for a treat. Both are good friends, practice (or used to since Andy moved from Boca Raton now) quite abit and know eachother's games. Their 2003 IW match was so great, I miss that match!

Inappropriate title, imo. Andy and Seb are good friends, no need to call him his bitch.

According to Deb, Andy may have tweaked something again (his back? :scared: ) Hopefully it's nothing they can't fix in a day.

According to Deb, Andy may have tweaked something again (his back? :scared: ) Hopefully it's nothing they can't fix in a day.Nah if it's anything, it is a hamstring or something based on what he was flexing. His movement looked a bit off, but it was a very very good thing he got that done in 2. I don't think it's anything serious :)

maybe he didn't face a BP but that was more Seb's doing than Andy's. There were a few times at 15-30, 30all, and deuce, where Seb had real good looks especially at passing shots and he missed them.

Inappropriate title, imo. Andy and Seb are good friends, no need to call him his bitch. You like Seb, I like Seb, the thing is - the guy is an improved, more advanced version of Robredo (yes, I know he's older than the latter) - a very good player who crumbles whenever he faces a top player (well, unless that top player is Agassi :p).

To be fair, he did make it to the SF of a Grand Slam 4 times (what's that with his miserable USO record?), but the way he totally fell apart in the most important match of his career (vs. Clement in the AO SF 2001) as well as the number of his titles sum up perfectly his career.

Andy was not comfortable out there. The commentators said he was having problems seeing the ball?

Andy was not comfortable out there. The commentators said he was having problems seeing the ball? :confused:Well, he's never done well in Madrid, never won more than one match actually before this year, so there must be a reason. maybe he's particularly uncomfortable there or something.. the only trouble I saw him have was something with a leg, maybe his left leg or something, he flexed once at the beginning of the 2nd and in the last 5-6 game a couple times when he had trouble holding on. But I guess if he were having trouble with the ball or something we wouldn't know that just from watching him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was having trouble with the conditions, i'm sure they're a lot different than in Vienna and most players seem to struggle with the conditions early on in Madrid.

i dunno maybe something more will be in his press conference.

knees.......

Roddick admitted to some discomfort in victory. "My knees are hurting a bit, it's just a bit of tendonitis, nothing serious.

"I've had it for years and years. At the end of the year after a long schedule, you have your good days and your bad days."

reading A-Rod's interview after the match..

ANDY RODDICK: No. I think unfortunately for Sebastien I've played well when I've played him. I've played him a lot on grass which is one of my favorite surfaces. I've only played him on clay once, and he beat me there.

you played him twice on clay andy, and beat him 6-2 6-2 last year in a Final
or does that houston/yanky clay not count :p
