Tursunov: "Yeah, I probably lost about 10 years of my life playing this, I think both of us were playing really really tight and you know it was really a crap-shoot in the tie break. I was up two breaks in the third set and still went to the tie break, so it was definitely nerve wracking but I'm really happy that I won and just really hope that it won't go into a tie break in the third set in a finals again."

(On the tournament) "The first time is always difficult to run a tournament and I don't think the organisers know what to expect and so its definitely very hard from all points, not only from players but organisation and the fans. But I think for the first time its been definitely well organised and I'm sure its going to get better and better and hopefully I will come back to defend my title next year."

Berdych: "It was amazing, waiting one more today, all day raining and then today we start at 4 o'clock, then it was up and down and then again it started to rain, and they already want to cancel the match and we go home, and all these things together it was mentally so tough, and then finally I lost 7-6 in the third, so it was a nice week but with a bad end."

"When I came after Davis Cup I thought that every day I would end up going and I booked my plane home, expecting to go every day; it's Tuesday now, so it was good."

Finally Tursunov got his first title!!!! Even though I would have loved to see Tomas win and be in the top 10, his losing doesn't mean he will never get there :D

It would have been hard for Tursunov to loose, being so close to a title! So I'm happy he won, even though I would have been happy if Berdych had won too!!

I hope they continue to have close matches in the future, if they do, then it would be a rivalry which would not need to built up from the media.

I couldn't lose either way with the results and congrats to Tursunov for winning his first title and doing it without winning a match in straight sets.

Both of them seemed happy after the final. Losing a final in a tie-break must be awful, though, so I feel a bit sorry for Tomas.

Methinks tournament finals should always go to a two-game advantage instead of a tiebreak. But then again, with that weather in Mumbai, the officials must have been relieved to finally have the finals over with.
