DC 2007 1R : Switzerland vs Spain

09-28-2006, 07:09 PM
You guys know what it may mean... :) Swiss choose the surface I suppose

Fed said recently DC would be one of his main goals in the future. Rafa's already won the cup. This year both of them skipped this stage of DC because of different reasons

Which team's gonna be the winner? Will it be someone other than Roger/Rafa in any team who can give victory to his team?

I'd so laugh if neither Rafa or Federer could play this in the end. I'll pick Spain though.

Switzerland will win.

Either BOTH Rafa and the Fed should show up, or none of them.
Otherwise this DC meeting will end up as a total farce for the team that actually does bring their Main Man on. So I'm hoping for them both to be showing up there, of course!

And if they do... well, who's to say how it'll end up. The Swiss will get to choose the underground, and I bet it won't be *clay*.

Good news for Switzerland if it means Roger will play this tie.

Federer will rip Nadal a big fat one

Switzerland will choose indoor hard for sure

Switzerland to win easily

A carpet court that has low bounce reacting little to ball spin and reasonably fast.

:spit: great draw  I also think the swiss will choose carpet, though...:o

wood is the fastest surface. Unfortunately it only exists with squash.

Switzerland ought to choose grass or indoor carpet, the faster the better.

If Federer plays, Spain has no chance.

On carpet or grass Federer is unbeatable for Nadal, and the swiss doubles is stronger than the spanish.

Switzerland ought to choose grass or indoor carpet, the faster the better.

Then Spain might be forced to bring in Feli as a backup :help:
