You should go, check on my nephews for me. They will be in some form of withdrawal because the tournament desk manager isn't goofy like me. ;)

You should go, check on my nephews for me. They will be in some form of withdrawal because the tournament desk manager isn't goofy like me. ;)I'll see what my schedule looks like, I've got some stuff coming up that's due next weekend so if I can't get off my ass and do it this weekend, it'll be a no-go, but Tuesday or Wednesday during the day or even Saturday or Sunday at the end depending on who's playing and what the schedule is like are all possibilities.

how come there isnt a score board on the website?

I'm not entirely sure but supposedly Challenger tourney's in the US aren't allowed to have scoreboards. I remember FlashDeb saying something about this once before. I've called the tourney a bunch of times. The woman answering the phone is very nice but she say's they haven't given her any information.

The ATP draw doesn't give a score. The Calabasas Challenger website doesn't give a score. The only logical thing to conclude is that Odesnik won by walkover.

I know b/c Odesnik called me himself after his match. I am a close personal friend of his and his coach so believe me when I say that he won 6-3 in the 3rd.
Fee Odesnik told me that you are cool, and I mean no disprespect to you. But CooCooCachoo, I dont care who he is, but when he continually disrepects a player that I am close with, with NOTHING to back it up, Im gonna let him hear a piece of my mind.

Well, I hope you are right, as I don't like walkovers (or injured players).

And I don't disrespect Odesnik at all. He seems like a nice guy, but what I told you is that what I saw of him this summer was absolutely horrible. Not Top 200 worthy whatsoever. I am sure he can do better, as with that play he would not have had the results he has had in other events. But you simply won't take my word for it that he played like crap in Scheveningen and Amersfoort, when you can even tell by the results that it wasn't a pretty sight. I haven't said anything else that can be considered disrespectful, and even what I said was hardly disrespectful.

I think you should not believe your favourites only deliver great matches. I guess I prefer being realistic to being delusional.

Look Im not disputing that he played badly in Scheveningen and Amersfoort, and I definitely don't think that only my favorites deliver good matches. Like I said I give Querry, for example, credit when it is due (like when he won the challenger 2 weeks ago, or when Kuznetzof finaled last week). Im just saying that you should give your least favorite players credit when it is due. But I do see your assumption based on the non results that were given (or not given). But you don't have to believe me, but I GUARANTEE the score was 6-3 in the 3rd, he didn't tell me the score of the 1st 2 sets. So when you see that I am correct, maybe you will swallow your pride and give Odesnik the credit that he deserves. (just wanna reminde everyone who doubted that Odesnik would beat Querry, that I called this result before the Open, when all the media hype was on Q). not saying it could not have gone the other way, just don't underestimate certain players. (witten is another one that could surprise people, lets see whta the future holds)

Well now we know. I've noticed the bias of your posts before and I wondered about your connection to Wayne. Thanks for calling him, I never have the nerve to call any of them for results because I don't know what to say if they tell me they lost.

As for CooCooCachoo, he was only reporting what he saw, which was nothing. I checked all 3 sources for draws (even though I already know that the draw is updated and posted in those places by the same man) and none of them had a score. Walkover or Unknown were two fairly credible options, it was not about giving 'credit' to anyone or not.

And how could you not 'respect' Sam Querrey? He's a hard-working guy, just like Wayne. If you don't like him, that's one thing, but has he ever done anything that would cause you to lose respect for him?

Hey if they lose its just part of the game, gotta roll with it. ya feel me!
Yea i understand (as i said before) the assumption that CooCoo made b/c the actual results weren't up.
As for Querry, I don't personally know him, but I don't respect him overall b/c of the hype that the media has given him and all the help that the USTA gave him. The USTA is VERY biased and only give help to the players that the coaches like. Remember Brendan Evan? He got all the help in the world and hasn't done shit. I just feel like Q got an undeserved STRING of WC's, w/out which he would not be ranked where he is now. But yes, im sure he is a hard working player, and I do respect that fact that he has won 3 challengers in the past. Putting bias aside, I have never seen any player work as hard as Odesnik, but im sure that some are out there. Hope he capatalizes off this win and takes the tourni. If not, hey, its part of the game, right!

So you lost respect for Sam because of something he had no control over? Yes, he was given a few wildcards here and there, but he has used them well and posted results, unlike another young American we all know ;). Sam isn't responsible for the media hype (and there really hasn't been that much), but I think he has a good head on his shoulders, his parents seem like decent people, and he should have a decent career. He doesn't seem to need wildcards anymore.

Yeah, the USTA is mostly a joke (that could be another thread entirely), but at least they saw clearly enough last summer to give Wayne a USO wildcard after the results he posted. I know other players who work as hard as Wayne, quite a few of them, perhaps some who work even harder. I also know a few people who think he has no weapons, and this may be as good as it gets for him. But everyone has their opinions, and thankfully most of the smart players ignore all that garbage and stay focused on their work.

Yea you summarize well, and good players are the ones who ignore all the hype and just concentrate on the game. The only thing I dont agree w/ (and this is the last time im commenting on this subject) is that Sam got a bit more than a few WC's, and i think that any decent player would have won at least 2 1st rounds w/ all the opportunities that were given. But like you said everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this is just mine, and Im sure that im not alone. I think Wayne would def have posted similar results if given the same opportunities, but I guess we will never know, and lets just see what players do what in the next year.

Here's a little summary of what I saw today:

Kendrick vs. Delic
Delic never broken, Kendrick just about broke his racquet multiple times after he lost his serve in the first set. It was all Delic from there.

Philippoussis vs. Healey
Easy first set for Mark. Second set was much more interesting. It was 5-5 when Healey was broken. When they sat down, Nathan said something to Mark and they almost ended up in a fist fight. Apparently (in Nathan's opinion), Mark was shuffling his feet more than usual right before his serve and Nathan thought it affected his service game. After some cussing and a break up by the umpire, Mark came up with a witty remark how he's been playing ATP events for 12 years and knows what he can and can't do. Healey tried to make up after the match but it seemed like Mark wanted no part.:wavey:

very interesting! Though in mark's defence he has always liked to shuffle around on return, esp when his oppoenent is about to go for a 2nd serve. He did it against nadal at the US Open.. so i don't think it's a big deal, if anything- it sometimes is a disadvantage for mark because he gets caught in the wrong position.
