3rd Round Match: Roddick vs Verdasco

Quite a simple & straightforward poll.....just vote who you think will win this match.

Do I need to say who I'm rooting for? ;)

Roddick defeated Verdasco in Indian Wells and Miami this year without actually playing very well so this should be one-way traffic.

I'd love to see Roddick win this one

It will depend on how aggressive Roddick is and how much he will take the game to Nando. Nando is a dangerous player when he is on even if he is a bit of a headcase every now and then.

Still, as long as he is more aggressive with greater court presence than in his last match I will take Roddick in either three or four tops.

Verdasco has a lot of mental up and downs during matches he's incredibly weak in the mental aspect . There's no chance for Fer to win this one .

I think I'm one of the few people who thinks Nando has a shot. Verdasco in 4.

Verdasco has beaten him before and will do it again. :D Vamos Nando!

If Nando is on, there's really nothing Roddick can do. :p

I'm REALLY hoping that Verdasco can pull this one off. I don't mind Roddick, but he's getting so hyped up in this tournamnet that it's really starting to bug me.

Sets sets victory for Roddick - no difficulties here.

Vamos Fernando!

09-02-2006, 10:23 PM
I think Roddick in 4 sets

09-02-2006, 10:40 PM
It is goin to be great match. Verdasco will be fresh after getting two days break, thanks to rain, . I'm predicting roddick in 4. But i will root for Nando. :)

A-Rod in straights. Any other result - except for GSM rain - would be a great surprise

Roddick will win this match.

prima donna

Roddick in 4.

09-02-2006, 11:08 PM
Roddick in 3 or 4 close sets, though if Verdasco is on he definitely has a shot at winning it

Verdasco lacks smarts or strategy on the court. I think Hachim Arazi was the worst mental player ever and Verdasco is close... He just has that huge forehand.

Roddick isn't much smarter, but his weapons are bigger.

Andy in 3

09-03-2006, 02:39 AM
The only times Nando has beaten Andy has been at Rome last year when Andy had a matchpoint I think. And Miami last year when Andy retired from the match.

I like Nando V., but come on.

09-03-2006, 03:16 AM
well probably Roddick, but I do believe in Nando's powers.

just do your best Nando, and we'll see what happens. :)

09-03-2006, 03:18 AM
Andy in 3.

09-03-2006, 08:23 AM
I hope Verdasco, vamos :bounce:

09-03-2006, 09:37 AM
hmmm tough one.... I hope Fer and I KNOW he can beat Andy..... It's Fer's turn again

09-03-2006, 10:47 AM
Roddick. In 3 or 4.

09-03-2006, 11:14 AM
He should be able to do it in 3, but I will also say Roddick in 4
