X-Man to win this? Hope x-man gets his head screwed on, should be an easy victory as he is much younger and has more power. But Novak like Agassi is out to prove himself in his last tournament. If x-man wins could be the darkhorse to cause a few upsets...

Malisse defeating Nadal, not likely. Novak as a journeyman well he did finish inside the top 10 and did make a TMC, something Malisse hasn't done.

You are calling Jiri a journeyman?
Go educate yourself.

Is it really his last tournament?

I won't be surprised if Novak wins this one, really

Have I been living under a rock, or has the Agassi thing simply overshadowed Jiri's retirement? I mean, I understand why all the hoo-haa, but still... I like Jiri at least 14 times as much.

I just checked the entry lists and he is on those for tourneys like Moscow etc. I don't think he's leaving here.

Journeyman= somebody who makes journeys, so we can aslo say journeyman Federer vs. journeyman Spadea and journeyman Nadal vs. journeyman Moodie.

Novak is quiting? How old is he? Maybe 31 or so? Geez, time flies.
Malisse is too unpredictable to bet on. He needs a psych check badly.

I've not heard Novak is retiring. He has been out with injury for some time and got into the Open due to a protected ranking. And BTW calling him a journeyman is unfair and not accurate--he has had a solid career. Spadea with his 21 consecutive 1st round loses is a journeyman.

Halba, you have proved that you are a journeyman of MTF posters and that takes skill.
