Can't wait for this one. I say Lleyton in 4.

Nole has to serve well and hit the backhand down the line effectively to win this one. I want him to win it, but somehow I see the Potato getting the W in this one.

Indeed, Nole will have to do all this. His results on hardcourt have been unimpressive this year (partially because of breathing problem).

Question mark was on Lleyton health as well, but he seems ok and he won quite easily in his first rounds (his opponent were not worldbeater).

Lleyton should indeed be seen as the favourite here.

Montañes tested Hewitt only for a set, then after that he was fine. He likes playing in NY, so that helps him and the fact he has a lot of points to defend and he won't play DC.

Nole has the potential to defeat him easily, but he will have to bring his A game and be patient, as he will get some short balls and use his power to overcome Hewitt.

This will be a great match I hope. I give Hewitt the edge but it certainly won't be easy...But Hewitt and USOpen is like magic and Hewitt just can't lose before the quarter finals here it seems...I hope it will be shown during a good time so I can see it! :)

Yes, Nole has the potential, he didn't use it much in previous two maches. I just hope he was saving himself for bigger stuff
If Nole explodes and bring his recent form, he can do it.

You only need to do what is necessary to win matches he has done that, but now the level of player gets better, so he has to improve. He has the weapons to defeat Hewitt, he has to execute them.

I really don't think the guy has any to spare. He's all goofed out.

Come on Lleyton, 'set' the clown 'straight'. Pun intended.

Nole in straight sets

Andreev22

Djokovic in straight sets as Hewitt has not really played anyone of nole's standards lately but if it goes to 4 sets or 5 Hewitt will probably win beacause of nole's fitness problems.

Hewitt. 6 consecutive US Open QF's will be extended to 7.

Hewitt. Djokovic hasent been playing too well THIS tournament IMO. Hewitt, on the other hand is playing decent tennis, after his difficult first set with montañes.

I'm sorry but Hewitt has not been that great for a while, if Djokovic is on, then I'm afraid that's the end of the ride for Hewitt.

But who knows ...

Novak will win. Hewitt is a shadow of his former self and Djokovic is going to attack, attack, attack ala Baggy at Wimbledon.

I'd say Nole with his serve and attacking talent is the favorite in this one. Hewitt's defense and counterpunching game is not that intimidating anymore these days. Djokovic in 4.
