Congrats to Youzhny bad gambler 09-01-2006, 05:55 AM Misha just did a Massu on Massu - fought back from the dead and won Nadie 09-01-2006, 06:10 AM :woohoo: Congrats Misha great work! I can't beleive it.. :D Action Jackson 09-01-2006, 08:34 AM Congrats Youzhny and more than likely he will do nothing for the rest of the year after this US Open performance. Melekhin 09-01-2006, 09:47 AM Misha :woohoo: Great!!! esp after losing SP in second set {Annie} 09-01-2006, 12:01 PM Misha sweetheart :worship: :worship: :worship: Let's do Ferrer now :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: muniu 09-01-2006, 01:26 PM :woohoo: Amazing:) Leo 09-01-2006, 02:36 PM Congrats Youzhny and more than likely he will do nothing for the rest of the year after this US Open performance. Actually most of Misha's best results of the year come in the fall indoor season, especially in 2004 and even in 2005 when he at least made some quarterfinals. I think he'll do extremely well in Moscow and St. Petersburg again. And anyway, he's always consistent here at the US Open so this result isn't really surprising but totally expected, especially considering Hrbaty and Massu's rather poor play recently. This is Youzhny's fourth 3rd round in New York. I doubt he can make it past Ferrer to his first 4th round, but still an incredible comeback today from the brink of death and he has much to be proud of. Youzhny would be higher ranked if he just played more tournaments and weaker tournaments ala Davydenko or Andreev, but he chooses to play fewer for the benefit of his body, since he's always susceptible to injuries. He rarely loses to really shitty players, although he also rarely beats top players. Keep it going, Mish!!! :D :bounce: Action Jackson 09-01-2006, 02:43 PM  Actually most of Misha's best results of the year come in the fall indoor season, especially in 2004 and even in 2005 when he at least made some quarterfinals. It's not that he can't play, only 5 optionals count, but you know that already. Fergie 09-01-2006, 02:55 PM Nico  But amazing comeback Misha  :yeah: SwissMister1 09-01-2006, 03:20 PM Nicely done - Mikhail played amazingly in the first match, and looks like he picked it up again in this match at the end. the cat 09-02-2006, 01:47 PM Well done Mikhail. :) I hope a great comeback win like this does wonders for his confidence and game. | |
