Who said that american tennis will dead... that there isn't more players to renovate the current generation? I'm not a fan of american tennis really, but I think that the guy have game, he needs to improve. Forget about false promises like Young, Jenkins and others. He is the chosen one.

Well done Sam :yeah:

That's a nice win for Querry, to be sure - Kohlschreiber's been in some very handy form this year.

weak, Kohli! :o :smash:
not even winning a set here, basically had no chance?!
I'm wondering what was up... have to check my recordings if they showed something of this match to see what was going on here

I'm loving Sam. I put him on my list during Newport this year. Good to see him doing well in the tournies he plays.

Nicely done Sam! He's got some serious talent. If he continues to work on his game and fitness, he can go pretty far. Not a Slam/TMS champion though, but can have a really solid career.

I watched some of this match in person and I have to say, Querrey was very impressive. Fantastic serve, huge flat forehand and pretty decent movement for such a big guy. Kohlschreiber was kind of awful today (he bricked some easy shots) so maybe it wasn't a big test, but I think Sam has great potential. We also sat right behind his large contingent of family and friends. They were really sweet. His uncle was jumping up and down throughout the last set, he was so excited.

A little (or maybe, "a lot") premature to say "not a Slam/TMS champion..." dontcha think? I'd personally err to the positive -- if I were going to make a long-range prediction -- for Querrey since he's got those big weapons in his arsenal.

Philipp 'I have a good draw' Kohlschreiber had groin problems the weeks before and wasn't 100% fit, but who cares. :o
