:yeah: I think the same until Murray, it's ok, then, we'll see... Murray played great lately. He can go to the 1/8 F easily. Then, we have in the same draw players like Haas, Nalbandian, Safin (we never know with him). But, I think it could have been worse. Some players have tough first round (cf Ljubo or the French players).

I went back to the US Open grounds - and got to see Fernando practicing against Nole in the Grandstand. Two HUGE hitters - and they were both cracking themselves and each other up! :lol: They obviously get along well. Fernando was teasing Nole at the beginning because Nole was taking his sweet time getting on to the court. :lol: And then they were just trying to out hit each other....both were getting in some good shots. Both were screaming (and laughing and smiling) when the other would rip a shot by them. And they appreciated their own big hitting....and the fans appreciated their big hitting too. :lol:

I got some good pictures - will upload all today's by the end of tonight.

And at the end of the practice, it was so cute - they gave each other a "guy hug". :hug: :)

RogiFan - I'll be there everyday though Monday, September 4.

This draw is ok for him,Murray could be tough for him but I think Fena will beat him as well.

I was at the US Open this morning - it was pouring! And thundering and lightening.

I came home to dry off, but will go back.

I'm bummed because I heard Stefanski say yesterday that Fer was practicing at 3:00 today - I wouldn't have had to search for him. But now, the practice schedule must be a mess. So who knows when he'll practice...if they can practice at all.

Thanks! Sounds like you're having a great time at the practice courts! I bet Nole was "imitating" Rafa by taking his time serving -- you know how he likes to make fun of Rafa w the Vamos, Nole! on his shoes and the biting of trophies -- naughty kid! But it's nice to hear that Fena is enjoying his practice time! I also like to know who everyone practises w -- always interesting combos, like Fena/Baggy in TO on that first Sun. ;)

Hope the rain goes away by Monday... it's raining here also, but not so much, and it's cooler now, about 20C max.

I watched Fernando twice in practices today. First practice was on Armstrong with Rafa - don't be mad at me but I took the opportunity to take pictures of Rafa. Second practice was on the Grandstand against some guy that I never saw before. But took lots of pictures then - he looked great! I prefer shirtless, but he was wearing second best - a sleeveless blue shirt with black shorts and a black headband. :yeah:

I'll post the pictures from yesterday and today either tonight or tomorrow morning.

FUCKING RAIN

I was there this morning - it started to rain just before the first matches were originally scheduled to start (11:00) - really poured. Finally it stopped, but just when they almost had AA dryed off, it started again. So I came home. its not raining at my apartment - about 20 minutes away - but looks like it will again.

Keeping fingers crossed! But doubt it since his match was scheduled for one of the last matches of the day.

Also so pissed at the court they put him on. Kind of a slap in the face considering where he's seeded. #10 isn't the smallest of courts - but it is very small. I think he thought he'd be on Armstrong or the Grandstand because that's where he practiced all last week and the weekend.

I was going to go back, but as I was walking to the subway, it started raining again. When I got back to my apartment, the matches had stopped again...and haven't started again - its been raining since.

Tomorrow is supposed to be showers, and a tropical storm is coming up from Florida so rain on Saturday and Sunday.
