A želeli ste?

Nole's dad basically said that Nole will leave Serbia because no one cares about top sportsmen. He said that they would even go to Mars if they offered proper conditions.

Srdjan, allegedly, sais that they would move to any country which would offer good conditions for Novak's progress in tennis.

He also says that he wanted to build a tennis camp so that talented kids could train...

If these are trully his own words, then he is terribly disappointed!

It's a daily newspaper. They say that the story is exclusive.

I don't know if it's respectable, I know other daily papers in Serbia that are in fact respectable. I'm not sure.

But I expect some sort of confirmed news, maybe on Nole's web page...

I think it's more or less certain that the entire family will leave Serbia.

Unless Srdjan, after using some plain language, doesn't provoke a proper reaction from the authorities.

He sounds horribly disappointed and angry in this article.

He looks like he's had it!

Novak said a week ago that he is #1 of serbia and let's remember that he is an adult now so I would change your title now.

I think his father is just frustrated with some things and I support him in that endeavour completelly because I know personally that politicians there use sports stars or anyone else for their own promotion but do not return favours or act with integrity . Unfortunatelly political corruption is a major issue.

Leopold Stotch

Taking his family's best interests into consideration, it is still unfortunate that Djokovic is leaving the trap open for the next Serbian talent to fall into. I think both Nole and Ana (as well as some of the other Serbian stars) are unaware just how much weight their words can have.

If they all got together and demanded that fresh, financially astute professionals are brought in then it will, in the least, make it uncomfortable for these charlatans that have done nothing for the past 5 years since chasing the Dokic's away when their power was challenged. Remember the fiasco over the location of the tennis camp that the Dokic's wanted to build. It almost looks like the federation deliberately doesn't want to improve conditions.

The financial aspect needs to be addressed most of all. Zivojinovic's only interest in finance stems from counting how much he makes on the senior tour. The federation needs financially astute individuals who can procure sponsorship deals and constantly lobby politicians and business leaders for more funds.

Serbia doesn't even have an ATP or WTA tournament.

It isn't just tennis. Just look at that criminal Curkovic that's running the Olympic Commitee, look at what happened to Divac recently and look at the rabid opposition to benign privatizations (football clubs) while Serbia's assets are being looted on a daily basis (Sartid, Mobi 63, Trepce and soon NIS, Telekom, JAT...).

I just read the article and I must say it sounds tabloidish but not as bad as I've seen before. With that said , there is some logic missing. That said papa Djokovic is not the most eloquent speaker and frankly sounds like a belligerent drunk.

No, it`s trash of newspaper but I beleive what is said. They like to publish this kind of bullshit and this Srdjan starts to annoy. He didn`t mentioned where will Nole go, but it seems to me like he gives his sons on auction and waits for offers  . I saw some other article when they asked Nole about coming to GB and Nole said that there was some chat in Glasgow, and after that nothing although they expected  that someone will spoke with them. I think this soap opera can be ballast for Nole...

At he heart of it he sounds like he is bargaining and putting some pressure . I don't know if he is talking about Novak because he is already a pro .

The most disturbing thing in the article is that he says that it's nice to see croatian president Mesic was attending tournament in Umag and proof that that he cares about sport. I am sorry but that's just very small minded. Politicians and sports do not mix in public arena. You will never see in a democratic state a politician attending sports events as that is serious tempering with public opinion and he is talking just against such politicians

The USUK attack on Serbia is still in full swing and Serbia has no allies.

France doesn't care, Germany is our biggest enemy and Russia still hasn't recovered from the "democratic" 90s when Israeli oligarchs stole billions while Russians were barely surviving.

Well today's Serbia is like 90s Russia. We are getting torn to shreds.

For example, Sartid was "sold" to the US who is taking €1,000,000,000 a year from Serbia and reducing the life-expectancy of the population around Smederevo for good measure.

Don't worry. There is lots more of Serbia to loot for Soros's DS/G17.

NIS is next. Then there's Telekom, JAT...

All this while Serbian citizens can't even pop over to London for the weekend.

You'd think we'd see new Serbian EU-standard passports after the Montenegro referendum but not even a mention.

Press is a tabloid, but Srdjan Djokovic does mean this.

He is a bit toooo pushy for his son. He call the journalists and threats if they don't write alll the best about Novak! He is a bit Damir Dokic.... If he want's to go, dovidjenja, but if not he should shut up like the rest of ours sportsman. And btw the problem is that Srdjan Djokovic want's everything for free, because his son is Nole, but that doesn't work like that...

TSS has produced how many Serbian tennis professionals since 1999 when they usurped power by chasing Damir and Jelena away ?

Zero.

Yes, if Nole wants to go, God Bless and dovidjenja but if he wants to stay then he must join forces with his fellow tennis professionals and go on the attack and shape the TSS for his successors.

That means bye bye Zivojinovic for a start.

And good riddance.

• Šta zamerate državi i, kako kažete, političarima?

Predah pred US open

Sledeći turnir odigraće u Sinsinatiju, a onda ga očekuje poslednji „gren-slem” sezone US open krajem avgusta.

Apologies for the political rant but unfortunately my view of Serbia's situation is not very optimistic. It must be frustrating to have to deal with the cronies who run the sporting federations. Most of them believe they are un replaceable despite poor performance.

Anyways the authorities have been given one year to facilitate the building of the tennis center otherwize it's adios.

Exactly. The perfect combination would be a non-French playing for France because that player would have access to French facilities and coaches and at the same time, wouldn't have the inborn choker mentality.

Predah pred US open

Sledeći turnir odigraće u Sinsinatiju, a onda ga očekuje poslednji „gren-slem” sezone US open krajem avgusta.

He is a bit calmer than he sounded in the previous intrerview. He has decided to wait another year. But if the conditions don't improve, and he feels they won't, he and his family will leave Serbia.

He also says that there's interest for Novak all over the globe but that they haven't made some cocrete or serious headway with that, there were no concrete talks on the subject.

I hope this helpes :wavey:

Anyway , he just wants to build a tennis camp and he apparently is seeking some help. There is no details so I don't know what kind of help he is talking about nor do I know what qualifications he has besides being Novak's father.

U liku Srđana vidim glavnog nosioca i projektanta u ovom poslu.

Meni takva vrsta marketinga i promocije nije neophodna.

Long story short:

The minister of sport, Vuksanovic, says Serbia will do anything to keep Nole, and he invites Srdjan to come and talk about anything he needs, the camp idea, etc. Vuskanovic says that the idea to make a camp is great and he will do everything to make it come to life, with the help of republic and city government.

To everyone.

Do you know how rude it is to come into a forum that has been operating peacefully for months before you came into it and start causing drama? And to say things and then say SPECIFICALLY not to translate them for people? That's obnoxious. I would never say something in English and not allow it to be translated to Serbian.

I think it is very hard for you to understand that Novak has fans from all around the world and very few people in other countries speak Serbian. We would like all members who post in this forum to be able to participate without feeling like they are being left out. There are nicer ways to say you want to have a Serbian chat thread than the way you did it. Just learn some manners and you should be fine.

It's a short piece of news saying that the GOV of Serbia will release funds necessary to build a national trainig centre for young talents. The money will go to the Tennis Association of Serbia. The funds are there, the Government just has to approve them.

It also says that on August 25, ITF Annual Assembly took place in Seoul, where it was officially announced that the TA of Serbia and Montenegro ceased to exist. TA of Serbia is the successor of TA SiCG.

Apparenlty, this is what the Gov was waiting for, in order to start this huge project.
