Hmm.. I don't like him playing a Croat in the first round in Croatia, but otherwise his quarter isn't bad. Probably Ferrer in the semis and dare I hope for Ferrero in the finals? I'd love to see JCF in a final, even if he beat Novak here last year, that was a different Novak :p Novak could take JCF now no problem. Anyone can.

Anyway, if he plays here I think he should skip Sopot, take a week's rest before the Masters events that are required events for him this year, and then he'll have another week off before the USO. So essentially it's playing two weeks (Amersfoot, Umag) a week off, play two weeks (Toronto, Cincy), a week off, then playing 2 weeks (USO). It's a nice schedule with enough events to keep him busy without over playing.

Nice draw. It`s not nice when you have to play against domestic player after such tough tournament, but Belic is ok for 1st round. I think he can reach SF without problems and even if he lose there it would be funtastic, final (or title) and SF in two weeks... I don`t know why Nole plays doubles, and I don`t like it...

He was probably never going to play Sopot, anyway. Milan didn't put Sopot on the website schedule. Maybe it was just an insurance listing (if he didn't get any good results this week and next week).

I think he'll almost certainly play in Umag. He hasn't spent that much time on court this week. 1hr 21min on Monday, 1hr 26min on Thursday, 1hr 15min on Friday, 38min Saturday. Shouldn't be tired.

Novak has arrived Umag, and at the moment he is target of many journalists!

He will play his first round match against his good friend Luka Belic on Tuesday at 7.00 p.m. (Center Court) with LIVE Coverage on TV HRT 2

Everybody. Nole didn`t play good yesterday (broken twice), but Belic who had more winners than Nole made too many errors. Ianni won`t be the problem, but after that if Nole wants to win here he has to play three matches with 100% and be very watchful.

Well done Nole!!Im really happy that he's in the quarters! And I agree with Scott (like I always do :p ) I think after his great win last week it's going to be really tough for him to win this title!Im not saying he cant im just saying it's going to be really hard!

u r worried just of his name....believe me Moya is not a threat to Novak...ok, it is, but only if novak is playing like these days...in first two rounds...but novak is raising his play from round to round so if he plays like he knows ( the game we all love ) then moya can start packing his bags....i think that moya is more worried than novak is :D

i am not worried at all!!! ;)

Please don`t talk about Moya, Vanek is next. ;) Step by step. If Nole wins against Vanek he`ll be No25.

They will play last match (at 22h). This will be on HRT+ (and at 1am on HRT2).

I don't understand why they couldn't wait to see if they can get 20 minutes more of play in tonight for Novak to finish this out. He was rolling along so fast, that's all he would have needed. They should have waited it out.

Natasha250688

Another reason the matches start so late is because there's a beach very near the courts so during the day they can hear the music from the beach on the courts. It was like that when they were playing Fed cup a couple weeks ago
But yeah, I don't see why they wont wait. When the storm starts so suddenly and is so hard it usually doesn't last too long

It's not that a simple delay would bother him. That wouldn't.

It's that he will have to play two matches tomorrow when they can't play before 5 pm because it's too hot. So all the matches have to be played in such a short time frame and his fitness is a weakness.

It's too hot to play during the day, yet Nole can play during the day. I don't believe this whole "too hot" nonsense.
