Same here, Fedfan. Personally, I don't know WHAT ESPN will do for coverage on the women's side, since all the Americans are gone. I really would hate to see what they would do if Agassi fails to get to the final. Like it was said before, ESPN puts a whole new twist on "worldwide".
Like you, I guess I will have to view this result on yahoo tomorrow morning.

MisterQ
01-28-2004, 01:52 AM
It's funny about ESPN. I think a Safin/Federer final would be a dream final for many fans. You might think they would hype that possibility, along with Agassi/Federer, which would also be awesome.

01-28-2004, 01:53 AM
Espn will show the match here, but there is no way I will wake up at 5:30 to watch Fed Nalbandian.

I hope Myskina Clijsters will go to 3 sets, espn latin amaerica will start showing tennis after the basketball match, so, if Myskina Clijsters finishes very early, we may miss some of Arazi Ferrero.

I'm not that great at calling matches myself :p

Well.. that's not entirely true. I called Canas and Pavel in the round of 16... but I was hardly the only one.

With this match, I want Nalbandian to win, but if he plays really well and doesn't, that's okay too. Just long as the old, racquet throwing, sulry Nalbandian doesn't resurface, it's all good :D

It doesn't bother me that much. Nothing you can do if Roger is playing very well.

It's annoying that we'll read 600 posts about how Roger is Jesus and David has only ever beaten him because Roger just wasn't that interested that day, but whatever. Those are only slightly less annoying than the posts about how David isn't a very good player.

I think that I win two cents if Federer wins this. Yes... a whole two cents. Long story, that. Essentially, I put a bet down on Nalbandian about 3 weeks ago, and have since ran out of money. Roger is assured the #1. I don't think JC can beat him in this form
Nobody ever thinks JCF can do anything. Earlier today I read that he wouldn't defend most of his clay points this year. Something I have been reading for the last THREE years, I might add.

Anyways... Good Night now, I think ;)

Federer seems to be handling Davids serve far better now, getting deep into his games.
If he keeps holding his own serve he will win in 3 sets
Wait... let me make sure that I understand what's going on here! If Roger doesn't lose serve, he'll have a great shot at winning the next - likely last - set? Captain Obvious, is that you? ;)

Um... something about going to bed... where was I....

Mind you, I much rather JCF win.

But you have to remember that Roger is Jesus. ;)

Can you guys just stop that crap about Roger being Jesus? Cant you be respectful for one for Christians amongst us? No one ever said he is Jesus. I know most of his die hard fans believe if he plays his best, he is unbeatable but so many people think the same for Sampras, Roddick, Safin, even Hewitt.

We will differ in our views but pls, let's not bring Jesus into the matter. Thanks. My apologies if I sound harsh.

The people who think that about Roddick and Hewitt are very funny indeed.

Fair enough. I'll try to find him a new nickname. It's a shame, because the "New Jesus" was so good. And I'm not sure why anybody would find that offensive. But whatever. I'm not religious, you are, and I'll try to respect that.

So is everybody cool if I call him Buddah? Kidding, kidding...

he is not wasting break points. You have to give Nalbandian credit for playing well and putting the pressure on Federer. Federer could nervous, you know.

Doris Loeffel
01-28-2004, 10:39 AM
Well I only can tell from the sb and when he gets about 3 bp or more in one game and can't break then I tend to call it a waste ;)

But I'm pretty sure Nalby fought them off with great play.

yeah but roger himself says that he gets tired on rebound ace and nalbandian likes the surface sooo... thats something positive for me right? ;)

Credit to Federer for being able to beat two good players, especially the in-form Nalbandian. Now, he's got take out Ferrero. The draw was not favorable to Federer but it seems to urge him on. Now Roger, go for the title and make lovers of true tennis proud.
