Just a bit of a forewarning to begin with, I think. ;)

But I have decided it is time to strike out on my own private venture on MTF, timing for it seems good. I wish I could think of something a little better to start the thread out, but I am clean out of flowery language tonight. :p

Dinner was alright tonight. I had teriyaki chicken that was really good, this side dish of mashed potatoes that had bits of bacon and I think potato skins in it as well, and a side of cinnamon apples. I'm filled up pretty good right now. :p

My brother-in-law was in one of his moods again tonight, at one point my sister-in-law and I just looked across the table at each other like, "Here we go again..." I've never seen someone as old as he is throw hissy-fits over the most mundane things before. I think my sister needed to be there to keep him in check, but she was doing Crim training tonight.

And then at the very end my mom was telling us that she had a CAT scan today and they found a spot about 5 mm big on her lung. They don't know yet whether it's just a cyst, or, you know... but she'll go for more tests later and find out whether they can just treat it with radiation or if they'll have to make a small incision to remove it since they found it while it's still small.

Don't worry elementary mathematics can get a bit boring sometimes. It will only get better and more interesting once he finds him self tackling algebra problems. I am sure Euclidean geometry will keep him a lot more entertained and focused. ;)

If he does go on to pursue higher mathematics it only gets more fun, you even get to come up with your own theorems and equations. Topology was a heck of a lot of fun though very very time consuming.

I like the BMT and turkey subs at Subway the best.

I think my brother-in-law has been going through a lot of things lately, which is why he is getting into these moods, but it's making it hard to be around him right now since you never know who you're going to get when you see him. But my sister-in-law, I love her! :D She's just the most fun person in the world!

Somehow all my siblings and I have found a way to get along really well as we've grown older. There's a 16 year difference between my oldest sister and I, 9 years between my second sister and I, and 5 years between my brother and I. We all grew up in different times, but that really doesn't matter for us. My second sister, Mandy, is #1 on my MySpace right now. ;)

Thanks Lee and Brian  It shouldn't be anything too serious, but it throws you off for awhile. At first I didn't hear her say it was her lung, and it made me really uneasy because my grandma had breast cancer and I remember how bad of shape she was in while she was getting treated for it. But whatever it is it's been found early enough that something can be done now before it gets any worse.

I think it has been the opposite for me, because my brother and sisters are so much older than me, I always wanted to grow up a lot quicker so that I could do the same things they were already doing. Out of 4 kids, it gets kind of lonely after awhile when the other 3 are all able to do their own thing while I would still be like, "Umm...I'm still in high school and I have classes tomorrow... so I can't go with you guys." Or when my sister got married in Key West I got left behind in a lot of things there because I wasn't old enough to get into some of the places. I've always wanted to be older than I am, never younger. :p

I completely understand I've always had older friends, my very good friends in college were mostly graduate students. In fact I was the youngest in my volleyball team, the rest of the crew avg 25 yrs of age I was around 19 when I joined the team.

I think that's very mature from your part, nice to hear that can happen. I believe for my little sister it's been kind of the opposite, for the one part she always wanted to be old enough to watch the rated R movies when she wasn't quite 17, then she always wanted to wear make up and all the other giddy things young women do.

Then on the other hand my mother has been overly nurturing and over protective of her, this has certainly been a hinderance in her development certainly in the social scheme of things. She'l find out as a college student that she's got plenty to learn and maybe not enough time to catch up with the rest of her to be peers.

I am sure your mother will be fine.

I'm on for a bit right now to kill the boredom. :p Venus and Bob lost in the Final. Shriver cursed them when she was talking about it after the Men's Doubles Final. Said they'd be an impossible team to break, and what happens? They get broken 3 times...

My mom and I are both reading The Da Vinci Code right now while she's borrowing it from my aunt. She has had it for 2 weeks already, and I caught up to her in 2 days. :p

It was a looong night. At one point they turned all the lights on and it got so hot and humid in there that it felt like a sauna. And if that weren't enough, some people in there have the worst taste in music that I've ever heard. :tape: At point Erika (one of the women I was working with on a display) and I looked at each other with this look of, "Kill me now if they're going to keep playing this..."

There was no Lydia, but Courtney was there at least and she's a lot of fun. We had our break around 12:45, and because it was so hot in the store she and I decided to walk over to Taco Bell to grab something to drink and eat. The doors were locked though on Taco Bell, and apparently they won't serve you if walk up to the Drive-Thru. :rolls: We hopped in someone's car really quickly so that we could order, and then got back out once we had our food. Good times. :p

I hoped that maybe we would finish earlier, but I didn't get out of there until 6:15. The morning crew was arriving, and Mel was back from vacation looking all perky and happy; and it made me sick. lol Although that's nowhere near as bad as Zandra who somehow was the perkiest person I've ever seen the entire night. Made things entertaining when she started having conversations with the clothes  but makes you wonder how someone can be that wide awake at 4 am.

My knees hurt a little when I got home, but they were fine once I woke up. My bad is a little sore right now, but that's about it. And get to do it all over again in 6 weeks.
