Brian, :wavey: how's tennis today?
It was fun, and I am exhausted. :p We got to see Tommy Haas warm up shirtless. We saw a bit of Safin vs. Gonzo, and Safin sucked. We watched Roddick warm up, I took another picture with Dimitry, and that's all I can think of right now. I am sooo exhausted. If Randy doesn't make an appearance soon I might go to bed rather early. OOOOH and I cheered for Rick De Voest because no one else cheered for him during his match with Andy, and I saw Scott Oudsema practice shirtless, and I wanted to get a picture with him, but I couldn't.

OOOOOHHHHH and I got a picture with Vinnie Ice. I will post it as soon as I get it from Deb. You will DIE from laughter.

The problems I had before with my stomach infection have started coming back the last few days. I'm going to a doctor tomorrow (my doctor is out of town) to see what can be done because so far none of the prescriptions I have from my doctor are doing anything this time.

I don't understand why this happens.

Haute
07-29-2006, 09:25 PM
She does now.

Lee
07-29-2006, 09:28 PM
There's a theory behind little boys and their diapers. It's not comfy for little boys to release themselves with the diapers because of the pressure. So they usually wait until they can't hold it anymore or when the pressure is released, i.e. the diaper is off ;) That's why you need a different technique to change little boys' diapers. Release them but continue coverage for a little bit longer unless you know they just peed.

Haute
07-29-2006, 09:32 PM

Haute

Good morning

The movie was alright, I don't think as bad as the reviews say it is. I think the reason people are saying they hate it is because they're expecting it to be really scary. Come on, this was based on a bedtime story he would tell his kids, it's not going to be scary. :p But it's definitely different from the rest of his movies like The Sixth Sense, The Village, and Signs.

Went and got smoothies after the movie. Those were good. Becky and I got the same thing, with the exception that mine didn't have banana in it...and after sampling hers I'm really glad I didn't get the banana. You couldn't taste anything else besides that.

Went back to Kendra's and we tried playing soccer at 10:30 at night in the pitch dark. That went well. They have this motion-sensor light in their backyard, so every 2 minutes someone was having to run over to it in order to turn it on. :p And of course the entire time Kendra's going, "I don't want to run for the ball under the trees...the mountain lion might be there!" Backstory really quickly; even though they're not native to our area of Michigan, there have been a lot of mountain lion sightings in Flushing the last few years, especially in the part of Flushing where Kendra lives.

After about 45 minutes of this unsuccessful soccer in the dark, we all went inside and ended up talking about who knows what until 1:15. :p Then I left, and made a late-night run to Taco Bell because I was starving. haha

Yes I'm still at work, hence my late response!!! It is 4:00 and I'm supposed to be here for another hour, but I'm trying to find my boss to see if I can leave early, but he has mysteriously disappeared.

Edit: he has been located and I'm going now!! Bye!

I ended up going over to Kendra's for an evening dip. The water temp was perfect, and we had so much fun trying to hunt this one horsefly for the longest time. We had nothing else to try to kill it with, so it must have been quite the scene to see the 2 of us stalking around the pool holding up a flip-flop and the occasionally swinging around wildly at what must have looked like nothing. :rolls:

Going back over in the afternoon tomorrow, our fun won't be cut short then by darkness. :p

Here's an interesting situation. Somehow only one nipple (well, the nippular area) got sunburnt today and not the other. How exactly does that happen?

That is a mystery. I don't suppose someone was sucking on that one nipple all day. :p

Haute

No. But at least I didn't get clawed in the throat this time by Kendra. :p

My face got a little burnt today as well, but as long as it's just a little bit hopefully I'll be fine and won't have a lot of skin peeling off.

I came so close today to walking the diameter of Kendra's pool on my hands. I got about 2 feet away from the other side and just kind of stalled. I couldn't get my legs to move forward again to give me more momentum. Oh well, there's still the rest of the summer to get it. :p

Phunkadelicious
08-06-2006, 02:11 AM
Denim expert, just what you've always dreamed of being, right? :p

Haute
08-06-2006, 02:15 AM
That's pretty explanatory, but the fitting room stylist I have no clue what that means...even though that's the one I signed up for.

But I figured that was better than having to memorize 5 different styles of denim, 3-5 washes with each style, and what lengths we carry in each style and wash. I'm exhausted just thinking about that. :p

How has your evening been going?

It's been alright. I watched Vaidisova and Clijsters with one eye and read with the other. Yours?

Haute
08-06-2006, 04:22 AM
I've been tossing yetis and penguins, and no that's not a metaphor. :p

Am I safe in assuming that Kim won?

Phunkadelicious
08-06-2006, 04:26 AM
That is a safe assumption.

Haute
08-06-2006, 04:29 AM
Kim must be looking to go on another summer hardcourt tear this year.

Phunkadelicious
08-06-2006, 04:31 AM
She was on fire for a set and a half, and then at 6-2 3-0 she let her foot off of the pedal. Vaidisova picked up her game and they ended up in a tb, where Vaidisova fired off 6 (possibly 7)consecutive ues. I say possibly 7 because on match point the ball skidded off the baseline, and there wasn't much Vaidisova could do with it.

Haute
08-06-2006, 04:37 AM
That really seems to be the most dangerous thing to do against Vaidisova, to let up on the pace of the match, because she's pounce.

Phunkadelicious
08-06-2006, 04:45 AM
She didn't do much pouncing in the tb. :p That was a terrible tb from her.

Haute
08-06-2006, 04:47 AM
She must have pounced at some point to come back from 0-3. Or was that not pouncing? :p

Haute
08-06-2006, 04:51 AM
So the only thing sadder than the fact that I've been playing these games for 2 hours, is that I've been sucking at these games for 2 hours.

Phunkadelicious
08-06-2006, 04:53 AM
She must have pounced at some point to come back from 0-3. Or was that not pouncing? :p

Haute
08-06-2006, 04:56 AM

Phunkadelicious

I should have stuck with my bad feeling from last night that this wasn't going to be good. Remember how I said the other day that when I worked we were getting hit with secret shoppers that day? I think our store did alright, but the district manager was pissed that one of the other AEs only scored 10/100. So our store manager called a meeting to go over the procedures with everyone (I was the only one who was there on Thursday when we had the secret shoppers, so it was new info to everyone else). So that was a joy...and then after that they put us to work cleaning the store to get it ready for opening. I was given the wonderful task of climbing up the tallest ladder to clean our signage on the outside of the entrance. I couldn't wear my flips, so I did it barefoot and I thought for sure I was going to slip from my feet getting sweaty. But I managed to do it without breaking my neck or anything. :p But at least I got paid for cleaning. :D

Three or four days. And she thinks they are inducing her. The baby is breech...just turned in the last few days, so I think they are going to try to turn the baby and hope that either induces her or they may have to do a C-section. They keep changing their mind and she is getting pretty frustrated. I feel bad for her, because she is going in tomorrow, but doesn't really even know what to expect.

Weirdest dream last night. Dreamed that we were doing another denim try-on at AE (it's bad enough that I was dreaming about work :p), and somehow I lost my flip-flops. Couldn't find them anywhere on the sales floor, which in my dream this wasn't the sales floor for my store but that's not the important thing here. :p So I start going back into the store rooms to look if maybe they got thrown back there, and the further back I go in to the store rooms it gradually turns into a dungeon. But it was still AE, so it was like a dungeon of retail because I was surrounded by inventory. And as I was back there, I ran into these people folding clothes, and the one of the people had a wooden head . :scared: So I talk to him for a minute, and then continue on. Eventually I have to climb further down, and as I do I find that the factory is really beneath our store and it's all slave labor (I will say this for our store on the topic, AEO pays the people assembling the clothes more than other retailers do, so that it's not like they're being taken advantage of overseas) and I think I saw someone get smelted to death while I was there...yeah, apparently there's a need for a forge.

I climb back up after seeing the bowels, I don't think I ever found my flip flops but that's all I remember of that part of the dream. Other dreams I had last night included me somehow being able to graduate early, and another one was of me inheriting a mansion, but I think the mansion was haunted.

Phunkadelicious
08-10-2006, 04:44 PM
Sounds like an interesting night of dreaming. :p I don't remember my dreams usually, but I used to have a recurring dream that I would always remember. In the dream I can fly, and I fly all over the world, and go visit my friends and show them I can fly and stuff. I haven't had that dream in a while though. I started having the dreams when I was just a kid and they pop up every now and again.
