Since CooCooCachoo had such a great idea, the points system will be the same, but the only difference is that this can include players that have retired.
The points system is like the other post. The #1 in a list receives 10 pts, the #10 1 point. This ranking will be a top 100!
Here is the my top 10 favourites of all time, and it could be showing peoples varying ages on this board.

Fun I add a couple and change the order on a couple to reflect how long I've been a fan.
Gaudio
Marcelo Rios
Kucera
Ivan Lendl (childhood memories, my father would say, he is the best tennis player in the world when I was a little kid)
Wayne Ferreira
Medvedev
Muster
Gumy (remember his match against Corretja?)
Mantilla
Nalbandian
I also liked Courier, Korda + all the guys in my signature.
Ill be 20 in a couple of months, I started to follow men tennis in 1997 (I was 13 years old, and I started to follow tennis seriously when Marcelo Rios reached the number one spot in 1998)
Mancini, Jaite, Perez Roldan are also Childhood memories.

Well, it is very hard to arrange the order........
1. Björn Borg- The Tennis God
2. Ivan Lendl- Used to hate him. SO 89 when he told off the booing crowd changed everything. And he always beat the swedes.
3. Boris Becker- Because he always beat the swedes and never lost his competitive spirit.
4. Mats Wilander- For his trademark tactic: boring the opponent to come in, then pass. :D RG82 and AO83.
5. Marat Safin- Current favourit loose and cool cannon of the tour.
6. Jonas Svensson- Precursor in playing-style to latter and current favs: Larsson, Younes and Moya.
7. Pat Rafter- Favourite S&V player and gentleman. More so than Edberg who has some chinks in his armour.
8. Albert Costa- He has done it all. And like T.Johansson doesn't get due credit.
9. Mikael Pernfors- The original swedish self-made man, nowadays it's Björkman.
10. John McEnroe- Great stylist, not so great personality, and he always beat the swedes at SO.
"And he always beat the swedes" so what if I have a masochist leaning :p
I really wanted Mecir on my list as well- his style was awesome. And you know... he always beat the swedes

Some non-U.S. people really dislike U.S. players,
so it's funny to create a separate world for the U.S.
Don't mention politics here though!!!
Andy's a very bad boy/man :cuckoo:, but it's entertaining to watch him grow up!! :haha:
Maybe I'll be nicer to Marat 'cuz he's a naughty boy too. :) :aplot:

Sorry, the last three posters your votes will be counted in the next time that I do an update, which will be next week. These list will updated when I have enough time and votes to justify it.
Here is the list and yes there are 134 players, but many shared points especially at the end. Next time I will just do the 100 players, though it might over if the 101 has the same points.

Marat Safin's being at the very top is totally illegitimate and I don't need to
explain why!
I looked at this list and why is this illegitimate? Are you saying these votes haven't been counted correctly? I imagine if you went through and counted all the votes individually from post 1 to when that table was put up last, I don't think the results are illegitimate.
I read the title as Fan's Favourite, not all time best player.

At the moment it seems that Safin is the most popular, followed closely by Rafter.
The Top 10 has 6 active players and 4 non-active players, so that's a fair balance, then again that top 10 to me is not unexpected.

Argh, I've just looked back at my original post in this thread and my top 10 has changed somewhat!!!!!!!!!!!
Only a couple of different players, but the fact that Roddick is missing from my original 10 means that my top 10 is now completely incorrect!!

GWH... Is it possible to change my list? I have my old one here:
1. Jonas Björkman
2. Jarkko Nieminen
3. Wayne Ferreira
4. Todd Martin
5. Jason Stoltenberg
6. Roger Federer
7. Rainer Schuettler
8. Thomas Johansson
9. Simon Aspelin
10. Edberg.
The new list would be:
1. Jonas B
2. Alexander Popp
3. Jarkko Nieminen
4. Jurgen Melzer
5. Wayne Ferreira
6. Todd Martin
7. Roger Federer
8. Rainer Schuettler
9. Thomas Johansson
10.Simon Aspelin
Of course, I understand if it can't be changed. I just didn't realise I hadnt included Alexander on the list. I guess his position hadn't been confirmed until after the Aus Open ;)

Normally I wouldn'tare, but your vote has already been counted, so I can't count these new ones now unfortunately.

joeb, it doesn't matter as it's an ongoing thing. I will update the rankings eventually, these can come from any era. The only thing is that once it has been submitted, then the votes are counted.
