Unless I see otherwise this week...Roddick is #2 on grass behind Federer and if he is lucky enough to be in the other half than he is favourite to reach the final imo.

I'd like to think Henman can follow up Goran's comments on him this year...but I have noticed that each year since 2001 Henman has been less successful on grass...so the omens aren't good

I'm expecting big things from Stepanek ( ), Karlovic (if fit), Hewitt (now resurgent) and maybe a few dark horses in the form of Tursunov, Moodie, Tojo, Grosjean.

...forgot Ancic - he will be tough to beat this year on grass.

Frankly, I think Dima should be on this list. His play is getting better and better (okay- discount the MC clay tournaments but during RG it was good) and he has a game that is great for grass.

Vladimir Voltchkov, clearly.

Im going with Ljubicic, he will clearly follow the pattern, AO QF, FO SF, WIM F and USO CHAMP

Silly to ask now since we don't know what the draw will be like.

And if Wimbledon pushes Rafa too far down in the seeds I'm going to boycott. :p

I was just thinking about the seeding. Even though Andy is the number 2 grass court player, there is no way they would give the number 5 player the second seed. Probably forth seed. It will be interesting, if they set Roddick up to face Roger in the finals or semis.

I think Hewitt or Ancic if they're not on the same side of Federer's half.

My prediction :
Agassi - lose in 1 st round.(I love Agassi but it's gonna happen)
Roddick - 4th round at least but i don't think he will reach to final round.
Nadal - he can't through to QF for sure (4th round is the best he can do)
Kiefer - SF the best but i think he isn't good enough for runner-up.
Nalbandian - 4th rd or better
Murry - 4th rd or better
Berdych - He won't through to 4th rd.
Safin - unpredictable ;) hehehehe

That's like saying ice is cold... :rolls:

I'm going with Andy ;)

I'm thinking Nalbandian could do it. I actually hope he wins a grand slam just because he seems like a really nice guy.

i've voted for hewitt

it depends on the draw

if hewitt does not draw Karlovic or Federer before SF stage, then he's a virtual lock on the F spot against Federer. Hot Rod will probably lose to Hewitt.

Depends on the draw. Fingers crossed for Lleyton.

06-12-2006, 06:28 AM
I'd rather waiting the draw to come out

06-12-2006, 07:09 AM
My vMoney is on Mario. :D

06-12-2006, 07:41 AM
Runner up will be Oscar Hernandez, that is pretty much established even before the tournament starts, now the only thing we have to do is find a champion and we are all set.

06-12-2006, 08:59 AM
I have a feeling Roddick's going to go out early on in the 2nd week, perhaps the QF stage...I'm going with Nalbandian at the moment cos he seems to be playing quite well (unless he's injured...)

I'm kind of hoping Roddick does go out before the final cos I want a different final this year from the last 2, still want Roger to win of course! :p

can i vote for roger? he made some miserable mistakes in rg that it cost his victory.

06-12-2006, 02:38 PM
Honestly Roger should be part of the poll list because he seems to have a thing for Runner-up trophies these days :D

06-12-2006, 03:58 PM
Nice try- I tried doing exactly the same thing with Nadal at RG- did wonders didn't it?

Anyway, call me crazy but I think Mario Ancic has a great shot. I think his results on clay this year have been phenominal and being able to consistently streak wins like that back to back will hold him in good stead. He has a great game for grass. The only thing missing from his repertoir so far has been consistency and and maintaining concentration. Winning the tough matches he did on the clay will have boosted his confidence in those two departments, and that coupled with his big serves and big solid groundies and net skills make him a pretty dangerous customer for the grass.

I absolutely agree with you. If he can play this way against Timmy and Nalbandian ON CLAY,it means he's in a great shape&we have a right to expect some brilliant performances..esp on a surface that suits him more...Wimbly runner-up?Why not?

what makes u think that Federer wont lose earlier in the draw
he may even lose the final!
