This is an excellent opportunity for Ivan to back up his earlier statement that he feels like the #2 player in the world.

then say He is #1 , before a final with Roger? and wins

he felt he was #2 when he was #2, when Rafa was out :wavey:

I am 99.9% sure that he said that during Miami, when Rafa was back to the tour. I am fine with that, it would be better if players spoke their mind freely as Ivan does. All i am saying is that this match provides an opportunity to back up his earlier statement.

what did Ivan say after Nadal match that was bad? :wavey:

I wasn't referring to that, but since you asked...how about speaking on behalf of the locker-room and complaining about Nadal time-wasting? :spit: :haha:

Surely he didn't think he stood a chance against Nadal? :haha: That said, he didn't take defeat to Puerta too well last year when he heard about the doping incident

well Nadal got a warning for too much time between pts, what wrong with Ivan agree with fact he was taking 30min between points. and that was a huge locker room with 2 other players left not named Nadal, others being Federer and David (who himself said he wanted Roger to win). so i guess If Roger didnt want himself to win. i dont see whats wrong with what he said

He shouldn't shoot his mouth off...he never stood a chance in that match and didn't hide his disappointment well.

He complained on court and Nadal got a warning - that is fine. But complaining after the match isn't necessary - Nadal got punished as the umpire thought appropriate and it didn't influence the outcome

The lockerroom comment wasn't necessary - a classic bitchy comment :p

He is 27 and has been on the Tour for years...surely he should have learnt the art of answering a question but not actually answering it if you see what I mean?

The press ask all sorts of direct questions...he doesn't have to give a direct, full answer! The indirect, subtle approach is always good!

While Ljubicic's candor is refreshing, it wouldn't hurt if he could temper it somehow. Didn't he have some similarly whiney comments after he lost to Roddick at the US Open in 2003? Sour-grapes is bad look for a grown man. :)

when you are answering questions in your 3rd lang, sometimes you just look for words that will fit, but may not sound right
