For several weeks I have told my spouse that
with all the focus on Roger for completing a career slam at the French this year, there may be another Swiss who completes a career slam at this French instead (Marti)

I couldn't agree more about how sad I am over Guga's tragically truncated career. (String bean just isn't a body type that works well in today's tennis.) But you gotta admit, Roger isn't exactly stinking up the joint in Guga's absence :)

Lets be clear...Martina's good but the focus on Federer is on doing an ACTUAL slam...holding 4 titles in a row (I firmly believe that tennis is not a yearlong sport, its a 52 week one). They are two very different levels of accomplishment.
