Become better soon!Phoe 06-04-2006, 06:25 AM I thougt, we could make a thread for news, when somebody finds out something about the wrist or if he has got to pause. Phoe 06-04-2006, 07:06 AM ok, I read a little bit about sports-medicine, and I found out, that a ligamenture-rupture and a sprain could lead to an heamatoma and a swollen joint. but: if a ligament is ruptured, the joint losses its stabilty, that camber happend in the middle of the 5th set, and he played on. I think (better: I hope!) that this is impossible with an unstably wrist! With a strong sprain, you´ve got to stop whatever you do, you´ve got to keep the insulted joint cool and high and you have use compression, because if you don´t do that, the blood could enter the joint and we get an heamatoma. He did nothing of these things, he played on, that means, he used his muscels which incrases the blood flow. Therfore that inner blooding was supported instead of stopped. So I hope, it´s just a bad sprain, which became worse because he not stopped playing. Neely 06-04-2006, 11:55 AM Yeah, lets hope for the best and least worst  Sorry, I got no news. I think we only get these when he updates his homepage. Or maybe the Eurosport commentators know something and mention it during the broadcast. They usually have good informations, too. So if somebody catches something, then post it here please :) knight_ley 06-05-2006, 04:36 AM Hopefully Kiwi lets us know what is going on soon. Neely 06-06-2006, 09:19 PM Yeah, I hope he soon gives us a notice and that it isn't so bad! knight_ley 06-07-2006, 12:22 AM I'm about to attack his message board threating him if he doesn't tell us something  i'm going crazy over here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p Phoe 06-07-2006, 10:23 AM ok, update is there! sound as if his doc not made an MRI, that makes me hope the best. *fingers crossed* Neely 06-07-2006, 02:00 PM Sounds as if we can't read too much into this update about the severity of his injury because he doesn't know himself what's going on and says he only will know when he removes the cast from his hand on Friday. Phoe 06-07-2006, 03:55 PM Oh, be a little bit more opimistic! I think (beeing extremely optimistic) his doc would have made an MRI if he really would have been afraid of a capsulerupture, but if he would have made one, Nicolas would know what is wrong. so, i hope, that very skillful doc (optimistic!!!) knows what he does. ;) *hopes the very best* kiwifan80 06-07-2006, 09:48 PM Yeah I hope he's okay. Hopefully we'll know something this week or so:sad: knight_ley 06-10-2006, 05:10 AM has anyone heard anything yet? he was supposepd to get the cast off on friday, no? Nothing on his site yet... :( Phoe 06-10-2006, 06:49 AM he wrote so... usually he just had no time to come online jet Phoe 06-10-2006, 07:03 AM I just detected an article on http://www.gerryweber-open.de from yesterday: they decided yesterday what to make with the wrist and today or tomorrow if he´ll play in halle. so: i think he´ll give us news when he knows if he plays or not. let´s hope the best! knight_ley 06-10-2006, 02:29 PM thanks for the update Phoe :yeah: JMG 06-10-2006, 07:09 PM At least he's in the draw, singles against Clement and doubles with Berdych! knight_ley 06-11-2006, 01:45 AM :woohoo: | |
