NRL ROUND 11

Teams that lose their coach mid-season usually go great guns ... for all of two weeks until mediocrity sets in again .. but I think Parramatta will go the other way. They've given us absolutely no reason to tip them in recent times and the actions of Riddell and Smith (Tim) during the week reflects the attitude in the team I think. Panthers ($1.45), even without Gower, will have way too much zip.

Like the chances of Manly ($1.70) ending Melbourne's winning run at Brookvale .. Storm without Smith will struggle even though they're not the sort of side which relies heavily on individuals. Storm haven't won at Brookvale for a thousand years either.

Sharks ($2.50) are value plus against the Origin depleted Bulldogs, regardless of whether Kimmorley returns or not.

Wests Tigers should ask too many questions of the Warriors, although if the Kiwis can hold the ball they're always a chance.

On last week's evidence the Knights should rout the Raiders in Newcastle, but the visitors could be similar nuisance value as they were against Brisbane if the Knights turn up a bit complacent.

Roosters look a little in the "don't touch" category even at $1.50 against Souths.

Thoughts gents??

In Terms of Penrith Parra,

Penrith Played well against souths, however letting them back in the game didnt please me too much as a panthers fan, yes its true that teams who lose a coach tend to bounce back, IMO Since Smith is now dropped its a new look Parra! Its Crisis time, so i think Parra need to prove alot. In my eyes Penrith is REAL VALUE @ 1.50 but atm im going to wait till closer till kick off. coz im leaning on Parra

ATM Im liking the Storm @ $2.10, Slaters back isnt he?

Knights -10 looks the goods too

The key for Penrith is Luke Lewis .. If he's fit to slot into five eigth that leaves Priddis to play hooker and Campbell at halfback ..

These are famous last words but Eels are specials tonight IMO...

Eels to cover +6.5 v Panthers - $1.90

Like Manly alot aswell Flamb, lets cash it champ!!!Sharks are definetely good value over the Dogs, those 2 bets do look like the standouts of the week,Rooster should crush the Rabbits,Liking the Wst Tigers over Warriors alot aswell mate!!!

Mate it's out of my prefered price range, but I'm really tempted to hit the Tigers X Eagles @ $2.80 .. Put my ticket in the machine about five (friggin!) seconds too late last night to get the Panthers X Newcastle double .. :explode: so missed an absolute sitter ..

I've been eyeing off Manly all week to beat the Storm and the Tigers should have too much class and zip for the cataclysmic Warriors ..

Sports Freak .. a word of warning re the Roosters .. if the "depleted side" you're referring to is the one printed in the programe then ignore it, because they've made a host of changes today .. Soward, Flannery and Cross all return, Harrison is back to lock and the line-up looks a lot better .. on paper at least.

I think I'll tail you guys on the Sharks today .. the Bulldogs' strength is it's forwards and with the guts ripped out of that, the Sharks must be backed ..

I'll take them with the start for a bit of insurance ..

it's off the topic but couldn't resist .. Tony Grimaldi and Chelsea import Hernan Crespo must be long lost brothers because they're deadset lookalikes..!

If the Sharks had of converted any one of the many chances they had in the first half they would have shit this game in. In the end it will be remembered for all of Covell's misses, but in all reality it probably should have never come to that.
