I'm with you there on Moya, cant stand Schalken at all, such a boring player to watch, plus a Paradorn-Moya final would be much better than Shalken-Paradorn!

I can guarantee that I'm the only one rooting for Schalken, so go Sjeng! Provided you win a few more points on Moya's serve than Ascione managed yesterday you're in with a chance...

Schalken = boring to watch, Mantilla = entertaining and underrated claycourter. Huh? They're isn't much difference in their playing styles, but because Mantilla has ESP next to his name he's automatically of more value. Typical.

NO!! I dont like Mantilla at all!! Never said I did, in general I dont like the ESP players at all, I much prefer a player like rafter or Federer, a nice crisp game who can make it look effortless. Also like Schuttler and players with high work ethic :)

I never said you liked him personally, but there are others around who love Mantilla's game but find Schalken boring as hell. What's the difference? As Schalken said in his interview yesterday, the two of them always play 2 and a half hours because their styles cancel each other out. Anyway, Schalken most certainly has a high work ethic, so I would consider that in his favour too.

Schalken has some big weapons. I love his backhand. He is against Moya and Moya is just well an artist out there. Shittypan is dead for sure tomorrow. :devil:

I guess if you want to see someone who sticks to a constant routine than Schalken is a great exponent of that, he has the ability of griding a player down and that I do respect about his game but from a spectators perspective it is not the most interesting tennis to watch.

Schalken is not boring to watch at all, but I preffer Mantilla because he fights harder every single point, he is, as he said last year in Rome, the "Gladiator". He gives always 100%. And I don't think Schalken does it as much as Mantilla. Apart from that, he is ESP like me...

Fair enough, fair enough... anyhow, I live in hope that Schalken can pull the next two sets out, although he's never been a great comeback player from what I recall. Does everyone think a Moya-Srichaphan final would be just as easy for Moya as their Miami match last year?

Both players were in pretty good form last year having won tournaments earlier in the season, these are different courts though, I have heard that they are a little slow, if that is the case then I would favour Moya, I think Paradorn may have well played his final against Robredo, that would have taken a fair bit out of him.

Although that said Dirk, Moya's artistry doesn't seem at all apparent to me at times, especially on that backhand wing... Srichaphan could definitely teach him a thing or two about hitting a decent, consistent topspin backhand. But he doesn't like playing the big servers, and Moya had some amazing service stats in his quarterfinal yesterday.

Moya is more consistent and has more variety on his backhand than shittypan. Shittypan doesn't know how to use his talent. He is a dead man tomorrow. Score?

moya played brilliantly today.his service was excellent.schalken hasnt had a sniff of moya`s serve.moya hardly lost any points on his serve.he used his forehand to very good effect.schalken seemend to be little bit exhausted after his match yesterday.if moya can cut down his unforced errors and keep up his service like today he will have an excellent year.
