Rafa has a very tough opening match yet again, and against the crowd favourite too. :( But he said he really wants the Hamburg title, so if he plays he'll be very motivated.

IF he'll win the Rome final tomorrow he won't have any pressure.
Haas doesn't seem to be at his best right now. We'll see.

Serious question here.

Should he go to Hamburg?

If he goes he will have really exerted himself this past few weeks, and be maybe very tired by the end of Roland Garros (it is 5 setters all the way).

Then again if he goes then he will also have a chance of excelling Borg's most teenage titles record, with 17, just in time!

However if he wants to be ship shape for RG, then he should complain about his knee and give Hamburg a miss.

What do you guys think? What do you WANT him to do...?

OMG, I'm exhausted from simply watching the match so I really don't know if it would be wise for him to play in Hamburg. And Haas would be a really tough opponent so he could lose his clay court winning streak being so tired and all. I really hope they're gonna think it through with tio Toni very very carefully.

After a match like this, it could be wise not to play hamburg. However it's up to Rafa so we'll see won't we

I hope he doesn't after that tough Match. But Haas has been having health problems with his rt shoulder and rt wrist and therefore has not been playing well at all lately. 1st Round and out for him in the last few Tournaments. Crowd favorite or not unless Rafa is dead tired I don't think Haas will give him that much trouble.

Definitely not tomorrow: the OOP is already out and neither Federer nor Nadal is listed, nor would I expect them to be. Pretty much if you play a final on Sunday you don't have to play Monday, and that would especially hold true for one that went past the five-hour mark. Otherwise it would simply guarantee they wouldn't show up even if they had any intention whatever of doing so.

Yes I agree it was a good decision for both of them. Now they can rest for RG.

He needs to be as fresh as possible to defend his Roland Garros title, so that was a wise decision to make.
