Tough draw for Roger. Possibly JCF in Round 2 and then Ferrer/Safin in Round 3!

Tough 1st rounder for Rafa as well if he plays and is tired from Rome.

Poor James didn't have much of a chance anyway, but what a bad draw! It's going to be his 6th straight loss.

Was Roddick supposed to play, or did he pull out because of his shoulder? He was supposed to play and said yesterday he doubted he was gonna be able to make it - he seemed to think it was a minor pinched nerve so it was pretty pointless for him to try to play - can't mess around with pinched nerves, gotta take care of them asap especially since he's gotta be 100% fit for the grass and he knows it.

Anyway, this draw is crazy and I hate it. Boo.

Gaston v Beto

Other than that I don't really have any real problems with the draw, but that makes it suck enough!

Of course now I'll probably have Novak win through to the main draw and be put in the qualifiers spot against Ljubo

What is the procedure if Federer and/or Nadal pull out? Are the seeding redone, with 17th and 18th highest ranked players now given the 15th and 16th seeds?

bavaria100
05-13-2006, 07:40 PM
He withdrew last year after winning Rome.

Yes, but it was a totally different story last year. First of all, he played more matches (he played Miami, Valencia, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and had only 1 week rest between all these tourneys). The second reason was that he had a cut on his hand and the doctor told him to take a little break from tennis because of it.

If the Monday's OOP is released before they pull out, LLs will took their places. If Nadal and Federer pull out before the OOP is released, there will be 17th and 18th seeds in the tournament.

So Henman isn't going to make it into the tournament at all unless he tries to qualify, correct?

LL's will get the spots of the withdrawn players no matter what?

Qualifying is already going on, so withdrawn players are replaced by LLs. Wawrinka entered in MD after qualifying draw was made. He was the first alternate and the qualifying matches had not started at that time.

If Nadal plays it I think he may be so burnt out Haas could beat him.

Andy vs Gael- Suppose Andy can be competitive and it was one win each in juniors so let's hope for a entertaining match.

Roland Garros dark horse Rusedski ought to thrash Wimbledon dark horse Gaudio in round two as well.
