Thanks Fee :yeah:

My initial reaction was one of disappointment...fewer of my favourite top players have committed this year. That said, things are much better down the lower end of the list.

Many of those players seem unapproachable e.g. Soderling, Malisse, Almagro, Rusedski...may not be so fun this year :(

But Dima!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :inlove: :woohoo: :yeah:    He'd better be there on finals day :fiery:

I would agree that the players on this list do not seem very approachable.

From personal experience, I'd say ToJo, Hrbaty, Andreev, Gasquet, Mathieu, Malisse, Lopez, Bracciali, Karlovic, Wawrinka, Mirnyi, Callerí are far from the fan-friendliest out there.

But Oli, Paradorn, Verdasco, Söderling, Simon, Seppi are all cool :yeah:

Well Tojo talks whilst walking away so that isn't bad :tape:

Hrbaty, Andreev - :fiery:

Gasquet is shy...not sure about Wawrinka but the young guys always seem "guarded." Monfils was last year.

Karlovic - doesn't like to speak because he is worried about what people think of him :awww: That isn't a bad thing - he signed loads of autographs last year. As did Mirnyi - he was nice.

Ollie - a bit brash and not all that friendly to be honest. Maybe he was stressed at having to face Karlovic later that day :tape:

Mathieu, Malisse, Bracciali, Calleri, Verdasco, Soderling, Simon and Seppi - never seen live, but Malisse, Bracciali and Soderling seem quite unfriendly from what I have seen on TV...may be wrong though.

I also like to collect autographs...although the appeal diminishes by the year :awww:

It would seem so, I guess he is quite thorough with his little chats. Even goes to the trouble of getting police style mugshots.

ToJo can seem a bit disinterested at times though  but once you start chatting with him he's cool. Then again, something we've said about many players "Maybe it's because I'm a girl" (or love all Swedes and Swedish related tennis players)...

Any thoughts on who the wildcards will go to?

I guess they would all go to british players, so if Henman or Murray want to play then they would get one

Otherwise, probably Bogdanovic will get one, as would possibly Arvind Parmar or Jamie Baker, but wouldnt be too sure at the moment.

Henman should be calling them tomorrow afternoon around 5pm :haha: :haha: :haha:

Geez...don't really wanna see Henman as I wanted him to have a good run at Queen's...but there again Mikey says he now has back problems again so who knows what the man is up to

Deserving Brit WCs are Bogo and Baker but I can't think we'd reward just those 2 for 2 weeks running. Martin Lee deserves one for qualifying for Queen's...not as if he will go far there.

Maybe Murray should get one when he crashes out as usual in R2 or R3

Wouldn't surprise me if Fish asks for one...and I would welcome him back tbh.

Dent needs :help: ...looks horribly like he won't make it to Nottingham, let alone the main draw

British No.2 Andy Murray has today (Saturday 17th) been awarded a wild card into the Red Letter Days Open that starts in Nottingham on Monday. 19 year-old Murray, whom earlier this year won the first ATP title of his career, is currently 45 th in the Indesit ATP entry rankings.

Despite injury forcing yesterday's withdrawal of British no.1 Greg Rusedski, Murray's confirmation ensures that the Red Letter Days Open will remain a battle of the Brits with Alex Bogdanovic (British no.4, world no.138) and Richard Bloomfield, the British no.7 and world no.260 already announced as wild cards.
