after a S-L-O-W start including 13 doubles in the first set & a game, guille picked it up and swept past galo 6-0 6-2 in the final two sets!

BIG BREAKTHROUGH on that serve!! Only 3 doubles the rest of the way and ended the last service game with an A-C-E! Very dominant to close! Great show!

It's just amazing with all the DFs.

What fascinates me even more is that if you take out the DFs, his winning % on the 2nd serves he gets into play is actually quite good.

Guille is just so funny to watch.
Glad he turned the match around.

Guille is just so funny to watch.

For me, I'd like to take out two letters- to me, Guille is fun to watch. Even though he has his horrible serves, which can be painful to watch- he is one of my favorites to watch during a match.

I'm really warming to Guille now. The irony is that when he was doing so well I wasn't a big fan, now I want to  and tell him not to overanalyse his serve so much. Don't think about it Guille, just do it :yeah::yeah::yeah:

Amazing how he manages to win matches serving like that...are you guys sure he isn't married to Dementieva and got passed the doublefaultitis infection?

16 today :eek:but basically 13 of them were the first set.

He was Classic Coria for the 6-0 6-2 final sets. Galo had 5 doubles himself.

Coria is a character.

He really is..never afraid to battle through adversity. :)
I wonder though if there is anyone who saw the match able to tell how exactly Guille hit that ace? I don't think he hit any in the 4 matches at MC...

Two, to be precise.

Errr. yes- I realized that afterwards, much to my embarrasment. See typos are what happen when you peek and post in MTF during your work hours.

I am actually beginning to like this guy. It must be really frustrating to get so many doubles in and fight through that. I like his spirit.
