Novak apparently wasn't well rested since yesterday was Easter for him and he had been celebrating.
An excuse that I think is complete BS. I'm completely disappointed, but :shrug: he deserved to lose. He did not show up to play at all. He should have taken one of the many opportunities he had to break in the first set. He didn't. Gimeno-Traver took his break point opportunities the FIRST time he was given one... not the sixth.

Was really surprised by this, but you will have losses like these when you are young. This was as big a favorite that Nole has been in an ATP level match in his career and he didn't respond very well. :(
