Do u think FEDERER will win RG 2006?safinaferrero 04-23-2006, 06:11 PM do u think Roger has any chance to beat all clay specialist such as Nadal& Cie and win the only grand slam left to his carreer? Dirk 04-23-2006, 06:12 PM He will be one of the faves for sure but he will either need a mental overhaul or other players to wear down Nadal or take him out for him. PamV 04-23-2006, 06:14 PM He will be one of the faves for sure but he will either need a mental overhaul or other players to wear down Nadal or take him out for him. ITA. I don't expect him to win the FO. I can't think of any other players that could really trouble Nadal in the draw up to the final. Who is there that would wear him down? To look at it positively for Roger if he gets to the SF he's then defended his points at least. Chloe le Bopper 04-23-2006, 06:16 PM It would be stupid to count him out. mangoes 04-23-2006, 06:21 PM YES.............this was a solid start to his chase for the title. Lala186 04-23-2006, 07:59 PM Yes, I think he will win RG Good Luck for him rofe 04-23-2006, 08:03 PM I think he can. He has to resolve a few issues with his game on clay and he better resolve them in Rome and Hamburg! yanchr 04-23-2006, 08:04 PM YES Liverpool4ever 04-23-2006, 08:11 PM I have said this before, but I have a feeling that the draw permitting the French Open Final will be Safin vs Federer and Federer will win. If he has to play Nadal then Federer will not win unless he improves drasticly in the next few weaks. Only Safin at his best (excluding mental frailties) has the game. Federer was stronger than Nadal mentally today, but he did not have the game. At the French i have the feeling Safin will have the mental strenght needed win. ClaycourtaZzZz. 04-23-2006, 08:22 PM No. Almagro will take him out. almouchie 04-23-2006, 08:36 PM I think if anything he showed last year he can be very competitive he can adjust his game on RG & even if his says that winning Wimbly is more important to him than RG he admits what a RG would do to his CV like he is applying for a job atm the more dominant player on clay is no doubt Rafael Nadal just like every1 is facing federer on clay federer has nadal to do with ChloeLove 04-24-2006, 01:00 AM I wouldn't count him out, he will probably be in the finals. But I think Nadal will beat him in the finals. Fergie 04-24-2006, 01:02 AM Sure, why no? *Viva Chile* 04-24-2006, 01:12 AM Without Rafa on court, sure!!!! avocadoe 04-24-2006, 01:33 PM Maybe...I'm in the wait and see category. I am faint heated and conceded the match after the third yesterday, but Roger fought back from a deficit in the fourth, and watching clips of the match, albeit they are chosen for good play, he looked very good. He believes he can learn to master Nadal, and maybe he will. We'll see. I still think he needs to move forward faster opn his own serve. I could see how difficult that is once Nadal get going. Also playing Rafa deep and centered sometimes might be interesting. Guybrush 04-24-2006, 01:42 PM I think he will! ;) Cervantes 04-24-2006, 02:03 PM I didn't think he could beat Nadal on clay, until yesterday. Yesterday's match was very close and if Roger had converted some more breakpoints and not given away his serve after being 40-15 and 40-0 up things could have been different. So if/when Nadal and Federer play the final at the French I'd say it's about 60-40 in favor of Nadal (was 70-30 before Monte Carlo final). Bilbo 04-24-2006, 02:14 PM The answer is: NO | |
