The tournament has had many excellent opening round matches on paper, then there is the Vliegen/Hernych 2nd round classic along with the Kiefer/Llodra match which they will have to turn people away cause of overcrowding.

The other 2nd round match that I know tennis will be the winner is between Acasuso and Gaudio.

I can't whatever result as long as whoever wins makes the quarter finals.

These guys know each other very well and it will be difficult for them, but they have played 7 times and it's 4-2 on clay to Gaston, though I wouldn't be surprised at all if Acasuso wins tomorrow.

Gaudio vs Acasuso

2001 Buenos Aires Clay SF Acasuso 3-6 6-1 6-3
2002 Amersfoort Clay R16 Gaudio 3-6 6-1 6-1
2004 Vina del Mar Clay R16 Gaudio 6-3 6-3
2004 Buenos Aires Clay R32 Acasuso 6-3 7-6(6)
2004 Acapulco Clay R32 Gaudio 6-7(2) 7-6(1) 6-1
2005 Vina del Mar Clay QF Gaudio 6-2 3-6 3-1 ret
2005 Madrid Indoor Hardcourt R32 Acasuso 7-6(4) 6-2

Gaudio leads 4-3

I really don't know.Whenever I go against Gaston,he won. But I'll root for him this time:devil:

As for the actual match, Gaudio could glide past him just as easily as Acasuso could smoke him.

04-18-2006, 11:18 AM
It won't be easy but I hope Chucho. In 2 or 3, whatever...

04-18-2006, 12:36 PM
I enjoy watching them both but Gaudio in 3 ( that backhand is heaven )

04-18-2006, 12:41 PM
Racing Club, I hope.

I sincerely hope Gastón wins.

Chucho............. I like Gaudio, but Acasuso is playing good.

Gaudio in 3. I hope they will show something better than what Ra-sin Club and Independiente show nowadays.

04-18-2006, 02:27 PM
Indesingente, but I wouldn't be dissapointed otherwise.

Time for Gaudio to do something again.

May the best man win....

04-19-2006, 01:13 AM
Based on current form i would say Chucho but making any predictions with those guys is never wise. My coin turned heads, so i say Gaudio.

That sounds perverted. Where's Fonsie??

I knew after I posted that it would be interpreted scurrilously by someone. :p As it turned out they were on a non-televised court, so it was more a case of "Give me some scoreboard, boys."
