Coria murders a hapless Youzhny 6-3 6-1

Dreadful serving still from Guille...hit maybe the worst double-fault I have ever seen. The rest of his game was only solid at best, but Youzhny was woeful.

Guille also seemed quite sporting during the match...

VAMOS!!!

Just a LOT of UE's from Misha. All Coria did was get the ball in play. :o

I read in eurosport that coria stuttered thru
but he won 6/3 6/1

Nice to get a fairly win under his belt because Coria's back on the court playing doubles now. Sort of weird that he's scheduled for doubles on the same day he's playing singles, but I notice they've done that for other doubles players as well. It seems to me if they want top players playing doubles, they should take a look at the scheduling. But, what do I know?

Coria just fed the ball to that Youhzny backhand and almost always it went wide or long. It was just awful to watch.

He didn't play his best tennis, but at least he won, and that will give him more confidence for the next matches.

Yeah 6 isn't so bad for him these days but the match was short. Against somebody playing better than Youzhny managed to do, it might still have cost him. That is also 6 doublefaults when he was just rolling both first and second serves into court.

My advice to Guille would be to pick a match in the grass court season and to attack every serve. Even if he double-faults the match away, at least he has done it and can then maybe stop fearing it. At the moment he is so scared that his serve is going to cost him each match he plays. Maybe he has to hit 'rock bottom' on serve, before he can mentally resolve the matter.

He hasn't already hit rock bottom on his serve?

There may be worse to come, before it is back to 'normal' :bigcry:

But hopefully not!

Coria murders a hapless Youhzny

The autopsy photos remain sealed. Authorities believe the death was caused by body blows, prolonged rallies and hot girls in the crowd.

Coria can become the Dementieva of men's tennis. :worship:

All he has to do now is make it to another GS final and serve over 20 DFs in a match!

 One DF from being right about that.

No GS final yet, but today was definately a Dementieva like :cuckoo: match and comeback.
