STOCKHOLM, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Former world number two Magnus Norman is likely to miss next month's Australian Open because of an ongoing hip injury.

"Magnus has tried almost everything and the situation has not improved," Norman's coach Mikael Tillstrom told the news agency TT on Friday.

The 27-year-old Swede reached the French Open final in 2000 but his career has been hampered since he underwent hip surgery for the first time in August 2001. He is now ranked 125 in the world.
