Surprised not to see one for Jeff yet... I met him in 2004 at the Manchester challenger in England, and from then on have seen what a nice bloke he is.

He has had an excellent year so far, particularly in doubles - which he began focusing on more and more recently.. He won 3 titles and made 1 final so far this year in doubles - with a total of 3 different partners :D

I love JFB. I have a feeling his best days are behind him, though. I remember seeing him play in the main draw of grand slams and now... :(

That's true, and he is getting on. Now he has a young daughter with his wife :D... I do hope that he can do well in doubles, he seems to be steadily climbing through the rankings.

Who's Jean-François Bachelot? Never heard of him.

He is an ex-french hope, who made big improvements between his 15-17 y-o. He won the french youngsters championship 2 times in a row (the 15/16 and 17/18 y-o) and was compared to a new Leconte at that time.

I don't really know why he never made a real breakthrough from that time (work, motivation, mental issue  ) but when I saw him play as a teen I found him very talented. I guess he's neither the first nor the last though.

Jeff has been having a pretty good year, although it really doesn't look as though he is going for it that much - he played one tournament in August, and one in September. He hasn't played yet this month, despite being injury-free, as he has been for most of the year. I guess he is concentrating quite a bit on his young family, I just expected him to play a few more challenger events.

This year he has won 2 singles future titles, and made 3 other finals. In doubles - which I thought he was going to specialise in - he has won 2 challenger titles, and 9 futures titles.

It's a good year, considering. He's not going to be winning ATP matches anymore, but two futures titles in singles is nice.

He's not going to be winning ATP matches anymore

Why's that? Also, he won't be getting the RG wildcards in doubles anymore!

He just doesn't have it in him anymore. I don't think he has the belief.
