:( :( Oh no, I thought Juan would win this match :( But sometimes having a bye in the first round is not really an advantage. Hopefully better luck in Miami.

Ok, Juan is in Miami now, I hope he can do something better here!!! Maybe the change of surface (from clay to hardcourts) didn't help him in IW, but this time he should feel more confortable! Vamos Juan!!! :bounce:

Hi Eugenia - Thanks for the match report, I am glad Juan is playing well :). Sadly I have zero coverage of the Masters Series tournaments :(. It's very sad and frustrating, especially if you think that I live in Switzerland and we can't even watch our countryman who is the world best tennis player at the moment (of course I would love to see other players first, but still )...:(

Good luck to Juan today, hope he can take revenge for Gaston. Vamos :)!!!!!

(9)J. Blake d. (32)J. I. Chela 4-6 6-1 6-0 :crying2:

I just watched the first set of the match because I was really tired and I went to bed when Juan was 1-2 in the second set. So I really don't know what happen in the last part of the match. In the first set, Juan broke Blake in the first game and then he hold his serve during all the set. Blake was making a lot of UE, and Juan was playing very smart and he didn't face any break points in that set. :yeah: I think that maybe Blake started to make winners instead of UE and that was the key of his victory. Anyways, that was a good tournament for Juani and I'm sure he's going to have a great year, he improve all his shots and he has the confidence, so everything can happen! :yippee: Vamos Juan!!!

Thanks Eugenia for the report. I agree, it was a good tournament for Juan. James is in top form at the moment and it's no shame losing to him. Juan played a really good first third of the season, hope he continues to be successful on the clay courts now :)

Here's the interview from the official Miami tournament website. Juan had to answer one single question, lol :)

BLAKE/J. Chela

An interview with:

JUAN IGNACIO CHELA

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. We'll have just one comment in English for everyone who's watching upstairs. Your comments on the match.

JUAN IGNACIO CHELA: Okay, in the beginning I start playing very good, but he's very strong. He's playing very good. He's very confident now.

In the beginning of the second set, he broke my serve and he just start playing better. He was very aggressive all the match.
