Taylor Dent is OK

Taylor Dent is back home in Sarasota after a few days of therapy on his back after being forced to retire in the second set against Christophe Rochus in a round of 32 match in Rotterdam last week. In fact, it's the first time Dent has been home this year after playing Sydney, the Aussie Open, Marseille and Rotterdam. After three straight losses to start the season, he caught an excellent performance in beating Tomas Berdych at Rotterdam before the back flared.

He'll be ready for Indian Wells and Key Biscayne.

Well jez I see you have found your way to Taylor's Forum.
What are you doing hitting every Forum where the player is down on his luck so you can cheer his fans up?

Taylor's in the awful section of the IW draw. He gets WC Sam Querrey up first, which isn't so bad, but then Gonzo, then James, then Andre/Tommy Haas..... ouch.

No it seems like when things are going bad everything goes bad! But Good Luck to Taylor :) I have a feeling he is going to need it!

Actually when you consider the draw he had he wouldn't have been in the Touranment very long anyway IMO. What is the problem now-- his back again?

no clue, just saw he's pulled out. He at least probably would've won a round, which is worth a few points, and he has points from last year to defend so his ranking will drop even more.

This is 4 times I've gone to a regular non-davis cup tournament and now 4 times Taylor has pulled out right before hand :banghead:

Edit: Yep his back... from the LA Times

"The men's draw suffered one loss when Taylor Dent withdrew because of an ailing back. Dent, scheduled to play wild card Sam Querrey in the first round, will be replaced by Bobby Reynolds."

Well one American out and one American in. Somehow it seems like the U.S. men's players are just on a merry go round--and then usually out in the 1st Round

Is it still his back? If he is having much of a back problem, he could end up missing a lot of Tournaments  This was just not what Taylor needed at all
