Try to recall who gave Rafa his toughest time on the clay of Barcelona last year? :D

Radek was in the zone and serving so many aces and he was so relieved to have won his title it was like he won the Grand Slam or something.

The radical one is making the most out of his talents.

Itīs a matter of match-ups, it doesnīt mean Stepanek is a force on clay, u know...

He also got lucky during the whole tourney, Nole had a thigh injury in 2nd set and that didnīt help him, Davydenko was Santa Claus when had him defeated in 3rd set and he has had an easy match-up in the final. Lucky jerk...

Intelligent serve & volley, we don't see that too often anymore. Well done Radek, even though the whole match was one big choke for Christophe.

45 according to our commentators. Christophe just froze on the big occasion - looked like a frightened rabbit caught in the headlights and gave Radek no oppostiion at all. But having said that - Radek served well, kept his composure and did what he had to do. He was so happy at the end - and his speech was quite sweet. Good luck to him - he works hard and deserves a title.

I see you are taking this well. Think of it like this, it could have been LaLo.

At the same time " the radical one" inspite of the antics can actually play even though he has a dodgy forehand, as it said it could have been worse.

Very impressive play from Radek. There's no doubt that he deserves this title. Sometimes it seemed like his 1st serve % was about 90%. He seemed to always produce big serves when he needed them.

One just has to admire him as a tennis player. He doesn't have the biggest weapons but his shot selection and tactics are top notch. He's also probably one of the best volleyers in the top 20.

Christophe acts always like that, he just doesn't show his emotions. That is what they call Belgian modesty.

I personally don't think he was being modest - he was just scared  And I don't condemn him or blame him for it - it was probably the biggest match of his life and he didn't deal with the pressure very well - if I was a tennis player I would probably be exactly the same. As for showing emotions on court - well this "Belgian modesty" seems to have been lost from Xavier Malisse, and both Kim and Justine who all show their feelings on court - and good luck to them! No, in my opinion, Christohe just froze today - the occasion was too big for him - it's a shame - he is a good player and was brilliant against Jarkko last night - I actually felt sorry for him that he let himself down by not being able to peform to the best of his ability out there today.

Not exactly the riveting final that might have eased the pain of the weak draw. Always nice to see a player break through even if you don't particularly like them.
