If so, what sites did you visit and how were your experiences? Would you recommend it?

No way. Scary.

Why do you say that?

I haven't, but I would possibly maybe consider it. Maybe... Mostly, I fear that the people use them as a bootie finder, only interested in screwing not dating.

There are some people online that I'd love to date (they know who they are ;) ). But I wouldn't use online dating to specifically find someone.

I'd be more scared that the person is a pyscho killer. You never know what freaks you might find on an online dating service.

But it's not all bad, TF. I've heard of many successful relationships coming from online dating.

Online dating? What's that? Is it when you talk and then meet up?

I dated a couple of people on www.menstennisforums.com

Oh you mean services... alright. I haven't ever done that. My best friend found her boyfriend through some German dating website and they've been together for 4 years already.
She was scared it would be some psycho, so I came with her and her pepper spray.

Yes, MTF is definitely the best place to find a boyfriend few nights stand.

I once had a date with someone I met online, not through a real datingservice site though. It was ok, I made sure to meet him in a place where lots of people were and we had a nice meal. Nothing terrible happened and he was not a creepy killer. I consider him a friend now because we were not real compatible romantic wise.
I know some couples who did meet with the help of a online datingservice and they are very happy. I wouldn't try it myself right now because I'm not looking to meet someone at the moment but if I was I would consider it. Internet is a great way to meet people as long as you always remain careful and don't hook up with every idiot you meet online.

I met my wife online, she is polish and we chatted for about 2 months before we decided to meet up. I find it a unique and interesting way to "date" and it has provided me with a dream wife. My wife now lives with me here in London. I first visited her in Poland, and a few weeks later she decided to visit me in London. A few months later, she decided to move here for good.

I met her through myspace.com

Once I was looking on a dating site and saw the profile of a girl I know in real life. So no, I would never use online dating (I would probably get matched up with my sister or cousin or something...)

a co-worker found a pic of our boss (much hated) on yahoo personals. she lied like the wind about her personality and assets. be careful what you buy -- people lie to make themselves look/sound better.

Tried...several. I have no personality, so I never get anywhere.

Plentyoffish.com and lavalife never got anybody I know killed. Yet.

I put up a profile on both once, since I was only meeting guys at work. After the 1200th "OMG U SO HAWT CAL ME LOL" message, I stopped bothering. I mean, seriously, I'm average looking and would get 23432 of these a day.

Note to potential online daters: being able to write in complete sentences is key.

I tried love.com when it still existed. Completely sucky. Wouldn't do another online service again.

Oh, I did have a vRelationship here on MTF that lasted about 10 months, we ended it when we both realized he was an idiot.

Tinder though it's not a daring site technicaly, a point is the looks matter even more "For males" on online dating.
