Jonas Bjorkman (SWE) vs (2)Nicolas Kiefer (GER)

Schuettler shouldn't be a problem!:D
This might end with Kiefer in the 2nd round!
I can see Andy beating him when Kiefer has a bad 1st serve percentage and his own is above 60%.:worship: Good Luck:bowdown:

02-19-2006, 03:55 PM
i guarantee that Kiefer will be slightly worried when he looks at that draw

02-20-2006, 01:21 AM
i see 3rd round and beyond, but then again, you never know what is going to happen ;)

02-20-2006, 04:46 AM
Andy def has a great shot against Nic. His confidence is at an all time high and could carry him through. The only thing I'm worried about is a let down. Even with a let down he should be able to beat Rainer (he's been playing like crap the last 2 years) But if Andy brings that into the match with Nic then watch out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Will he still play after San Jose?

02-20-2006, 01:25 PM
Oh aye, he will definitely play. He may get some clemency from the tournament organisers and his match may be one of the very last in the first round cycle. After performing in san jose so well Andy will be a big draw, and the yanks have taken to him quite well anyway.

A good performance this week and Murray will overtake henman and rusedski and be british number one, as both will slide if they don't perform.

He deserves a day to savour his win, but then he needs to get back to hard work, for that is what is needed to get where he wants. Hard work and consistency.

02-20-2006, 01:59 PM
Schuettler stinks now. Have to fancy Andy to win comfortably even after a tough week he's just had.

Kiwi might be a tight one, but if Andy can play his game and force him to start smashing rackets and losing it then he's well in there.

02-20-2006, 02:11 PM
^^ yeah nic made and its pretty much urs

02-20-2006, 03:47 PM
He should make the second round fairly easily. Kiefer is a tough match but by no means impossible for Andy. If he wins that one I'd fancy him to beat any of the possible opponents in the QF's. Could be another good run for Andy.

Nooo not Jonas in the second round

02-20-2006, 05:46 PM
Not a bad opening rounds. Let's just hope he can continue of his success from San Jose :woohoo:

The draw has really opened up for him and he's now the highest ranked player in his half. He's now going to find the pressure of being expected to win his next 3 matches at least. I wonder if he'll change from saying I don't expect to win!

I doubt it. He still doesn't expect to win and it's a great attitude.

02-23-2006, 11:17 PM
Murray def. De Voest 7-6 3-6 7-5

good win kid, almost gave me a heart attack

02-24-2006, 02:14 AM
eeepppp two tough matches in a row. I'm glad he's winning but a str8 setter would be nice. Robin is up next and u know he's pissed. I saw their match in SJ and Robin should have won it, he had Andy beat. Andy was too solid in the end and Robin lost it mentally. I don't see how this match isn't going to be another tough 3 setter. Hopefully Andy will come out on top.

02-24-2006, 03:36 PM
Robin's in good form at the minute, and unless Andy raises his game considerably, he will lose. I was impressed by Andy's maturity at the death last night, so if this one goes all the way, I would be hopeful he could pull it off.

Could go either way, but I'm leaning towards Soderling, possibly even in straight sets.

02-24-2006, 03:36 PM
 That scoreline!!

Hopefully Andy can repeat his win over Robin again. I guess we can expect another long tough match!! Go Andy!! :bounce:

02-24-2006, 03:52 PM
That was another shitty performance. Today, he's gonna go home, trust me.

02-24-2006, 06:10 PM
He lost the first set 1-6 and the appear to be on serve in the 2nd.
Not surprising though. Come on Andy!

02-24-2006, 07:06 PM
LMAO. 1-6 4-6.

02-25-2006, 01:51 AM
Hmmmm I thought players sub-forums were for fans, anyway...... I think all the playing just got to Andy both mentally and physically. This was a total revenge match for Robin so I'm sure he was pumped.

02-25-2006, 03:39 AM
Aww, Andy! (Not a good day for the Andys)

Not really surprising, but I think Andy really needs a break before the Master Series. I was reading a post match interview with him and he said he's exhausted and that his maiden title really took a toll on him. A well deserve rest is what this boy needs... Good Job on Andy during the past two weeks and hopefully great results in the Masters :yeah:

02-25-2006, 08:59 AM
I'm not sad. He reached the quarterfinal and won his first ATP title in the last two weeks. And Soderling is very strong these days. Good luck in the next tournament Andy.
