Finally the Andys battle is over and I'm

Roddick  :smash: :o
Anyway, congrats scotsman ;) :p

I couldn't see the match. Roddick played like crap, or Murray really played well?

An expected result. Why Roddick was even considered a favorite for this match is a mystery to me.

Congrats to Murray on his big win. :hatoff:

Eh? Yes, he certainly WAS the favourite, and how anyone could think this is an expected result is beyond me. Doesn't mean I'm not over the moon about it though, and for entirely positive reasons - 'tis the biggest win of Murray's career, and I hope Petch can do his homework for two quality opponents in a row when his man faces Hewitt tomorrow. Take 'em down, Andy!

"Jeez. Roddick not even the best Andy, now. The slide continues."

I saw this quote on another board and had to laugh. I wonder how true the first statement is but I'm pretty sure Roddick is undeserving of his top ten ranking at this point in time. The match was less close than the scoreline because murray had a horde of breakpoints and several won return games without consolidaring.

Roddick was just a sitting duck out there for Muzza's returns..
now hope they show at least highlights of the final on BBC, as they did when he played Federer in Thailand final.

so what did Roddick in this time? Court positioning again?

pretty sad when John McEnroe outlasts Roddick in a tournament, even if they're playing in different draws ;-(

Hmm, surprising.... and impressive that he was able to take down Roddick without coaching input, although I don't think it bodes well for tomorrow. You really do need a lot of tactical input to take on Hewitt.

will the new coach really make a difference? time will tell... in a couple of months, if results are still dismal, he should reconcile with gilbert...

new answer. saw her tonight after the final. she was wearing a knit cap and appeared to be sleeping, so all I saw was a scrunched up face below the cap and above the collar of her jacket. Exciting news, I'm sure.
