It's just that your thread has been said before and Fed fans aren't disagreeing. In fact, I think it hurts Roger when some call him the greatest this early in his career. That only puts more pressure on him to be perfect. I don't think anyone was calling Sampras the greatest of all time after his 7th major.

Federer's fans love him for who he is now, he doesn't have to be the greatest of all time to be admired right now.

Of course he is not. That honor belongs to none other than Brian Vahaly.

federer is not weak on clay...he isnt as good as nadal...but that isnt the same as being weak.

anyways, i really dont care if roger doesn't win RG. In my opinion, he has already cemented his place in history, and i think it will be a long time since we see such a great player. Roger has played a phenomenal three years right now, and there will be nobody to replace him in the game.

so many ppl complain of dominance right now, but it will be gone quickly...7-8 yrs from now, all the people who hated federer for his languid style will be taking back their comments in a huff. We shall see as technology in tennis escalates and topspin & power dominates, players will start to play the same way, and each will be a clone of the next. only then will everyone will be saying how they miss his style and will truly appreciate how great he was. i dont think we will see such artistic and perfect technique for a long time.

This topic must have been done a million times before, but i'll put down my two cents worth anyway.

Federer is the greatest of all time in terms of natural talent and ability. However in terms of achievements, then of course he is not the greatest yet and may never be. No one knows what is going to happen in the future.

haha :haha: Federer is not even top 3 of all-time greats yet
not enough big wins yet for such honor
Agassi (AO, FO, Wimbledon, USO) and Sampras both better

When did Moya or Davydenko beat Federer on clay (or any other surface)? Federer beat Moya twice and Davydenko once.

Don't even waste your time by answering this guy, it's clear that his trying to turn this in a federer-bashing thread. Some people just don't get enough attention at home so they try to gain some on the interenet it's pretty pathetic if you think about it
