Juan has a break at *4-3 in the 2nd,he blew the chance and was broken back at once, and you know,as I expected he couldn't win in TB,then he was broken at *4-4 in 3rd,this is typical Juan. :help: Why do I like him and Mathieu this kind of chokers? :banghead:

Because people like us are masochists? :p

I'm disappointed with today, but he's doing better than last year already. We've gotten a semifinal already instead of having to wait until Monte Carlo for him to do it. Could be a good year for him afterall. :)

 Myabe! Also I think because I'm a choker as well! :p Choke at playing badminton, presentation and many things...

Maybe I can't expect him too much, but I still hope he will get a title soon. :)

Pathetic. He can't even beat his former bitch from a set and break up. He used to be the better player of the two on clay. He used to be the better player period.

I was there watching the match and JC most definitely didn't choke. He kept hitting very good shots but Moya completely stepped up and found his serve and forehand back, he looked a lot more comfortable and put JC on the defensive all the time.

I'm sad JC lost, I really wanted to see him in the finals and winning a title... especially here. But I'm happy for Carlos. :) I hope he wins tomorrow!

well thank you for clearing this up!!! It's such an easy word isn't it :CHOKE    Just because someone loses doesn't automatically mean he choked!

Saying JC chokes is also very degrading towards Carlos! Like he could never win unless his opponent chokes... I mean DUH! He was the better player today...doesn't mean JC choked at all!

Thanks for that, it makes it slightly more bearable even though I'm still majorly pissed off at JC for losing :banghead: How was JC's forehand? I'm just curious :)

Carito_90
02-18-2006, 10:25 PM
JC's forehand was on a roll during the first and second set. He hit tons of winners with it and was all in all very very good. He wasn't able to put it in good use during the third because of Carlos, he was always making him defend and couldn't be as agressive but he still hit a couple of winner shots with it.

Yeah, his FH was definitely working for him. Also his serve sometimes, he did hit a couple of aces. But sometimes he'd struggle with his first serve.

I mean, JC played a great match but even Carlos said it, he started playing better and hitting a lot harder, found his first serve (he had been making a few DFs before) and forehand and it made it a lot easier to put JC to run and defend.

JCF didn't choke at all, I got to see the last part of the match and Carlos must take all the merit :worship: I would have liked to see JC playing a final in Bs As, but I'm glad Charlie will. He's a big favourite here, and I'll be rooting for him for sure :)

DOH :banghead:

I knew it would be an exciting match. Almost all of the meetings between these two have gone to a final set. We really need a channel to show matches like these, here in England.

But JC :banghead: that's already the 2nd time he's lost after winning the 1st set, in 2006.

Good luck to Moya in the final :)

Don't. He's seriously playing well... Moya was the one that stepped up and, even though JC could've tried harder to close the match, he wasn't making many UEs... it was all Moya, Moya and forced errors by JC.

I agree, but Ferrero at his best was always able to elevate his level of play to win a tight match, but he's having trouble to do it these days:sad:... It will be tough to come back at the top if he can't find a way to up his level in important moments!

But full credit to Carlos, he was the one who elevated his level of play in the important moments, so he deserved the win:)

Why ban the word choke, just cause 97 per cent of the population can't use the term in its correct context. A lot of people think 0-15 in the 1st service game is an example of choking.

Example of a choke: Calleri leading 6-2 5-1 in the 2002 Buenos Aires final and losing.

Great performance by Moya and time win Buenos Aires again.

JUAN CHOKER FERRERO

Yes,can't agree more. It's his typical match. He always wasted advantage of a break even more.:o
There was no way to see this match and I didn't follow scores,so I just comprehended the match superficially. If he lost a match in straight sets and no trend to win all the way,I would be more comfortable than I am now.I can't bear he always gives me hope at the beginning then breaks it.
I like what you wrote in your sig on bottom line, RaDiCaLgIrL♥TR "if you always blow all chances, don't give me any hopes before!!! "
