They have covers but waited too long. The skies were already very heavy and dark but the officials continued to blabber on their walkie-talkies. Eurosport cut coverage when it was raining pretty heavily and there were no sign of covers on the court.

Well, I was able to see the matches on Friday and Saturday since I was home for the weekend (not that Federer's one with Ferrero was anything to get thrilled about, it was horribly one-sided), but I have been getting it all taped... Had it been Andy they would have given him 20 minutes. Did you all see how they had his name engraved on the cup already??????? They must make two of each and throw Andre's one away or send it back to the shop. I am so happy for Roger. He played incredible. That rain made the last two sets sloppy but oh well it was a incredible win for him. This is more important than his wimbly since he beat so many tough guys. Oh and he won Vienna for the guy who said he didn't win an event since Wimbly.

Ah yes, forgot that one. But still, it had been a weaker second half of the year post-Wimbledon for him overall... and now he finally has a title on US hardcourt, that was the only part of the tennis calendar he hadn't succeeded on.

Maybe they were afraid that Rogi might tell the TRUTH about this poorly organized tournament...

What, you mean with Henman and Federer winning the last two big events of the year RF? Yeah, not bad overall... now if only Schalken hadn't had such a diabolical indoor season, this would be the absolute perfect end to a superb year. But all I can say is, onwards and upwards - let's see some new tournament wins for Federer next year! Something Swiss would do for a start...
