Don't know why but the site is gone. When I tried to sign on to the site, it comes up with another name and my account no longer exists.

Not very good news. It seems Guga is still suffering from his twisted ankle and Meligeni is not confident that Guga will play. Saretta will be the #1 player and it will be a toss between Mello and Guga. :scared:

It's not like Mello couldn't do any better than Guga against Horna, in my opinion. No one knows what Guga's conditions really are after all this time.

I hope Guga plays at least the doubles rubber with Sá. It would work well, especially if the tie is still undefined by Sunday and the Brazilian players would be much more rested than the Peruvians.

I hope the draw gives us a hand tomorrow and Saretta's match is placed first on Friday.

I'm scared because Saretta is the #1 player there. I honestly lost my confidence in him over the years. *sigh*

Saretta must win his match against Ivan Miranda, or Brazil will have a hard time winning this tie.

Well seems like Guga's injury persists:sad: I know he continues to put pressure on it when he plays, maybe it would be better to rest it completely:sad: But he would have to leave DC, and he surely doesn't want that...

Unfortunately, Mello was toasted by Horna

Tomorrow's double will be very important. Probably determines the winner of the tie.

Mello got tight when it counted and wasted a couple of BP's that he couldn't. :(

OMG I'm so happy, I watched the whole match, Brazil won after many hours on the court. We didn't start very well, specially in the Sá's serve and Guga in the net, but both was always thinking positive and in the second set everything was changed, even with a histeric Peru's crowd screaming in ther ears. Sá continued served really bad, but Guga improve his volleys. To say the true, Guga's service really make the difference ... but the most important think: in the end Guga's body looked prefect and he was so happy, I didn't remember the last time I saw him so happy.

Pretty close and dramatic match. Brazil qualified and will now face another away tie against Ecuador. It'll probably be as close as this one.

Congrats to Guga, Sá, Saretta and Mello. :yeah:
