Interesting that they're putting Roddick on first, I thought they'd hold him back for later even if they are both afternoon matches. I suppose they don't want to make them play night matches given that they have to come back on Friday without a day off.

Anyhoo, go Rainer! Go... yeah, Coria probably. I don't know really, given his bad health and Moya's close 3-setter, Moya should be favourite - after all, he does have the winning record and they're 1-1 in meetings this year.

my guess Federer vs ???? as its a dead match

WyverN
11-13-2003, 02:43 AM
It may be dead in terms of the tournament but if Ferrero beats Federer he can stop him from becoming #2

The night session I guess will be Rogi vs JCF.

And oh! Good luck to Schuettler, you dont get my wish very often you know so you better take the chance!!!

Moya and little Moya - I like both players but I prefer to see Moya in the semis.

the night match will be Agassi/Nalbandian at 7pm.

:yippee: David finally gets to play a night match and not have to deal with the heat of the sun!! :yippee:

I'm guessing that humidity is still high at night though, right? David can handle humidity as well as Andre. I know who I want to win and if I had to guess what this match is going to be like...I would say that it could be David's best match of the week (win or lose).

I was out tonight (right at 7 when the match was starting) and it was quite nice actually - the cold front may have been starting to move in, though, not sure.

Anyway the weather is supposed to significatnly cool down for the next few days anyway, so day/night matches won't be as important. Tomorrow might only get as high as 65 so that would actually probably favor the people with the day matches as it could get down right cold at night

I wonder if Houston is getting what is left over from here tonight. Probably no rain or anything but the cold. We just had a surprise massive storm come through here that was dumping 3 inches in an hour in some places. There was thunder and lightening for a good 2 hours it seemed. And there was pretty bad flooding in some communities. I'm used to this when I lived in the high desert for 13 years but I don't think LA was made for this type of storm.

Like I said earlier, today was a really bad day for me all the way around

Mmmm..... Baldy vs Nalby. Hard to think who's gonna win but I think his experience will help the bald man. Anyway, that's not my main concern -- it's just Rogi vs JCF tonight will be played.
Gooo Ninja!!!! Show the world what are u made of!

Well I'm actually surprised that AA is playing today!!

I would have sworn they would give him a days rest!!

oh well I don't mind that I don't have to get up at 2 AM tonight ;)

Wont it be both of them?

The other one (Federer v. Ferrero) will be on Friday, along with the remaining RR Red Group matches (Roddick v. Coria, Moya, v. Schuettler).

Makes sense for Agassi/Nalbandian to be on tonight, because for the TMC Federer/Ferrero is dead rubber. (And it means Roger's match will probably be scheduled at a time decent for us tomorrow, Doris!)

It's good for Agassi and Nalbandian to play tonight, as whoever wins will have a rest day before the semifinal and his rival from the other group will play 3 days in a row!

It would have been fair to the players if both doubles semifinals were played today, and all 4 last singles round-robin matches were played on Friday, so no one has a rest day advantage on his rival!

It would be especially a disadvantage for whoever play in the night match tomorrow and has to play in the semi on Saturday afternoon!
