Adam will make a brief, but profitable return to gambling until the end of the Australian Open. He will post all his plays here, and amaze you all with his brilliance :rocker2:

Adam will kick off with 5,000 units. 1 unit = £1 GBP

Don't bother wishing me good luck, I won't need it ;)

We'll boost our balance with the following play......

Wawrinkwa to beat Mayer (1.83 at bet365)

Stake = 1000 units to win 1833 units
New Balance = 4000 units

LMAO!! What a thread title!! :worship:

Hmmm...Mayer has got one thing Wawrinka hasn't - a good serve. This might not be the easiest of tonight's plays but there again I haven't checked yet!

Mayer's serve isn't that great, I really don't rate him much. Stan the man can outrally him from the baseline. As for finding better plays, I wish you luck. It's a horrible card, Blake to beat Clement is quite safe but I don't like the odds.

A match involving Gonzo and Ancic is an absolute no-go for me :scared:

I agree, I like Karlovic over Srichaphan but not enough to put my money on it.

Horatio Caine
01-11-2006, 02:07 PM
Srichaphan is definitely worth fading. Big Ivo has qualified and beaten him before. Paradorn struggles a lot with serve - volley. Also has to play 2 matches today to reach SF. If his injury is as he says, he will struggle to do all that.

Also liking Tursunov

I don't think I've got enough faith in Ivo. Paradorn is on my blacklist as well, backing and laying, he's cost me a bomb in total. Tursunov is a horrible match to call I think, toss a coin

Horatio Caine
01-11-2006, 02:25 PM
Well actually I'm losing faith in Karlovic based on his qualifying results! :scared:
But Paradorn probably has 1 eye on next week because of his injury. Furthermore, Stepanek didn't make the trip to Sydney until Sunday so he wasn't well prepared...but the fact that Para dealt with serve - volley in R1 doesn't make me feel as confident.

Stan could well be the play mate ;) :yeah:

Only really thinking Tursunov because Andreev was taken so close yesterday. Tursunov is in good form and has a chance based on energy levels I think.

I had a shocking amount of bad luck yesterday, I must've done something to offend someone. Verdasco 5-2 up in the crucial 3rd set and loses it, Ivanovic 5-1 up in the 2nd set and loses 6 straight games, and Hewitt getting broken every time after he breaks. It was rather infuriating. Today will be the fightback :boxing:

Mauresmo to beat Henin Hardenne at 2.75 - 2000 units

A wee bit risky. But worth a try. JHH has been rather unimpressive thus far, I've seen most of her matches and she's got through most of them by fighting rather than quality tennis. Mauresmo has been a lot more impressive in her route to the final. We all know her choking abilities, but I fancy this could be her moment. She will be helped by the fact the roof is closed, the spin she gets on her groundies will be exagerrated and I fancy this could cause JHH some problems.
