Kohlschreiber reached the 4rd round at last years AO, I guess. I can tell he's getting ready for it.

Kohlschreiber is not a total crap player on one of his better days, but no question that Hewitt should win this encounter. But Hewitt didn't start that good last season as well and he didn't play since quite a while, I think we will see lots of improvement from him in the next weeks to come :)

I'd like the Adelaide tournament to eat their words.....
"...with a match under his belt, and a roaring home crowd behind hjim, Hewitt will take a lot to topple...more than you could imagine Kohlschreiber could produce..."

Were they not watching Philipp play his first round match? That backhand.... the funky serve... he's not exactly crap. *see signature for examples of occasional crapness*

Obviously they were angling the daily newsletter towards the seasonal fans, who come out of the woodwork when Lleyton shows up. The fans who don't know anything about the opponent except that he's going to lose to the local god *cue everclear song*

He'd better hope Davydenko doesn't win Doha, or bang goes that top four seed for the AO.

Whoa, mama.Isn't it more like...whoa, daddy?

Rusty's living up to his nic. But I'm sure a lil grin and giggle from Mia will cheer him up.

Let's hope it's not a sign of things to come.

I saw him play Andy at the Aus Open last year. I thought he was quite good. This seems to be the best time of the year for him.

No reason for that much fuss

Hewitt may have been caught off guard and Kollschreiber apparently played very well from what I heard (I didn't see the match).

However, it is foolish to write Hewitt off, he will be around in Sydney and the AO and will shake the rustiness off the more matches he plays.

In the meantime congrats to Phillip :hatoff:

Exactly. People should stop making Holywood out of tennis where the actor/player is only as good as the last movie/match.

At least it wasn't Lleyton who ate the bagel but still, a bad loss. He's probably just rusty. I won't expect him to lose like this come AO time.

I wouldn't compare Philips talent with Berdychs or others. He's 22 years old . If he stops being that damn presuming after a win, he should become a solid top 100 player....hehe you mentioned his biggest success so far, well 2 of his opponents were CRAP (I mean it) players:

R128 Carlsen, Kenneth (DEN ) 60 7-6(2) 6-2 6-1

R32 Lisnard, Jean-Rene (FRA ) 47 7-5 6-3 6-2

Plus Nicolas was obviously injured

R64 Massu, Nicolas (CHI ) N/A 6-0 2-0
