First Roger falls one win short of his record for most wins in a year and now Ljubičić falls one short of winning all his Davis Cup matches and going undefeated...

It's not McEnroe's fault that his team was better and didn't have as many live rubbers to play.

He is not lucky, it has nothing to do with luck. He worked hard for his records. If people want to beat his records they'll have to work for it and achieve it but so far they haven't been good enough.

Nobody was in a position to break the McEnroe records. They only could equal them. :)

Altought i'm not into licking his ass, i think JesusFed record is more impressive. In JMAc days, Only a small amount of players would dominate

Actually, Johnny Mac had a voodoo doll of Ljubicic. He stuck a pin in it's neck Saturday night, and look what happenend.

Good point about Fed's record being more difficult this year with the depth of competition, but did you notice how Mac just thoroughly destroyed most of his opponents that year? Pretty impressive in its own right.

Mcenroe could have done a better than that. It was the same year where he led 2 sets to 0 over Lendl but ended up losing the match.
John was a great player. He should have played the Aussie Open during his prime and he certainly would have won it at least once.
