Does anyone know what Rafa's schedule is going to be like in 2006? I hope his foot will heal and not bother him for the start of 2006.

I remember in a interview Rafa said he didn't want to over
schedule himself so I hope he picks when and where he plays very carefully. I know he needs to play to get points, but if he overplays he will be tired or hurt. It does make it hard on the players to get a good balanced schedule. I would like to see Rafa #1 in the World in 2006 :)

Yeah he needs to have a better schedule! He played too much this year, probably cos he didn't think he would be winning so many tournaments and doesnt want to disappoint the organisers :) Vamos Rafa in 2006!

Yes many newspapers had the headline "Federer and Nadal rule in 2005". I would like to see the end of year headline for 2006 to be "Nadal rules in 2006' :) :worship:

Hi Mae! :wavey: Welcome to Rafaland!
"Vamos!" in Spanish means "Come on!" (or "C'm on!" as Lleyton Hewitt is saying it) in English. I'm not too good in Spanish but I think it could actually also be translated as "Let's go".

I miss Rafa at the AO. He is such an exciting player to watch play tennis :) And the fact that he is very good looking doesn't hurt either ;)

I'm more sorry than ever that Rafa couldn't play the AO  Brad Gilbert who is doing commentary for U.S. TV said the court conditions were perfect for Rafa and he said that there were" a lot of lucky guys out there because Nadal couldn't play". You could tell that Brad thought Rafa might well have won the Tournament if only he had been healthy enough to have played

I would think that it must mean that Rafa's foot has not healed yet so he has not scheduled any Tournaments
However, even without playing he is still holding on to the #2 ranking. But with him being out while other players are playing I don't know how long that ranking will hold.

It looks like Marseille is his first stop of the year according to vamosrafael.com. Then possibly Rotterdam before the two Masters events in March.

Is Rafa still going to play in Marseille? It would have been nice to see him play Davis Cup.

The current word is Rafa will play Marseille, Rotterdam and Dubai, then the two US Masters, Indian Wells & Miami.

After that nothing has been mentioned in the media. But I would suspect if all is going well he will move to clay court in Europe in perparation for Roland Garros.

You're right that would be awesome indeed :worship: I'm sorry I can't speak, read, or write any Spanish  would someone please tell me what the word "Vamos" means?

if we're talking grammar... vamos is the "we" conjugation of the verb Ir (which means To Go) in the present tense.... therefore it's literally translated as "We go"........ but basically that's the same as "come on" or whatever....

ha ha, had to get technical didn't i?!!!!

:smash: :smash:  :bolt: :haha: :haha:
