This exhibition event will be played from December 5th to December 10th, in an arena built at the Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The following players will take part:

- Mariano Puerta
- Robby Ginepri
- Nicolas Kiefer
- Nicolas Lapentti
- Flávio Saretta
- Ricardo Mello
- Júlio Silva
- Gustavo Kuerten

Format: Puerta and Guga receive bye to the semis. The remaining players were divided in two groups of 3, and will play a round-robin stage. The winner of each group qualifies to the semis.

On Saturday, Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova will play an exhibition match. :inlove:

I don't know, there's no official site yet and I couldn't find any information about the surface, but I guess it will be played on hard.

I went to Kournikova's press conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where i could ask her abt Andy Roddick Foundation, what she thinks abt Andy and whatever
so here it is:

Q: What do u think of Andy Roddick Foundation and about Andy, since he's a young guy?

Anna: I think he's done a great job. He started early, which is very good because normally players wait till the end of their careers to organize their events and foundations.
His charity early on his career attend to a lot of events.

Kiefer retired from the tournament due to a stomachic virus, right before his SF match against Puerta. Then Chela was called by the organizers to take his place.

I just don't know if Chela was already in Rio (maybe accompanying his friend Puerta), or if he had to take an emergency flight from Buenos Aires to Rio, a couple of hours before the match begun.
