As much as Nadal doubts his ability to win on this surface  , this should be a fairly easy matchup for him in my opinion.
I think everyone can predict this result, but anyway, NADAL vs GAUDIO - SHANGHAImangoes 11-11-2005, 11:49 PM As much as Nadal doubts his ability to win on this surface  , this should be a fairly easy matchup for him in my opinion. revolution 11-11-2005, 11:53 PM Nadal will win 7-6 6-0 (second set a tank job) mangoes 11-11-2005, 11:55 PM Nadal will win 7-6 6-0 (second set a tank job) lololololol.......I see you have been watching Gaudio's matches for the latter part of 2005.....lolol :D BlackSilver 11-12-2005, 12:16 AM As much as Nadal doubts his ability to win on this surface  , And you think he is a favorite to win the entire tournament? NYCtennisfan 11-12-2005, 12:51 AM And you think he is a favorite to win the entire tournament? Depends how ready Federer i to play. If Federer can play Federer tennis, then he is the favorite. Otherwise, I would say Ivan is a small favorite over Nadal. I don't think anyone else has a shot and if anyone else does come through, it would be a huge shocker. PaulieM 11-12-2005, 12:55 AM Gaudio ;) well you never know... gebl 11-12-2005, 01:14 AM Nadal will win 7-6 6-0 (second set a tank job) :yeah: NYCtennisfan 11-12-2005, 01:17 AM I doubt that Gaudio wins more that 6 games in this one. "Ivan is a small favorite over Nadal" You don't think that small favorite is extremely conservative if Ljubicic is 100%? I would say that that Ljubicic is together with Federer the two big favorites, with Nalbandian coming next, closely followed by Agassi, that is closely followed by Nadal. El Legenda 11-12-2005, 02:02 AM 6-2 6-1 Nadal Fergie 11-12-2005, 02:31 AM Vamos Gaston! ;) mangoes 11-12-2005, 02:36 AM And you think he is a favorite to win the entire tournament? I think there is a strong probability that he will win since Roger is coming back from injury and in all likehood will probably not be at 100%. I would have said, if not Roger then Ljubicic, but I think both the Madrid Masters and Paris Masters have left me a bit hesitant in expecting too much from Ljubicic. No one is talking about Agassi, and he just may be the dark horse of this competition. GonzoFan 11-12-2005, 06:10 AM Good that more people decided to discuss this. I think that there is only one big favourite and that's Federer and coming after him Nadal and Ljubicic and in the fourth place I would say Nalby landoud 11-12-2005, 06:59 AM nadal in 2 landoud 11-12-2005, 07:00 AM but the question now is : who can win the tittle? stebs 11-12-2005, 07:29 AM Gaston to win it 0-6 6-0 6-1. go Gaston azza 11-12-2005, 07:32 AM Nadal 6-4 6-7(18) 6-0 Galaxystorm 11-12-2005, 09:53 AM I would say the favorite is Nadal, but watching his physical condition everything can happen since Nadal's preparation for the TMC is being as horrible as it's possible... After Madrid's final his ankle got inflamed ( because of this reason he pulled out of Basel and Paris . He would have played in Paris with the knees hurting him, but watching his ankle he decided to withdraw ) , and yesterday when he was practising with Nalbandian he felt pain in the ankle again and he's vorried about it , nowadays is his main worry , even more than his knees, which are still bothering him . And because of these two reasons he's practising less time than he would like in the last weeks, in China too . Before arriving to China , he hardly practised hard in Mallorca , even the first week he avoid the sharp movements , practising statically , hitting the ball without making lateral movements ,trying to improve knees and ankle conditions . In Mallorca he only practised on clay. He will arrive to the first match against Gaudio, without rhythm ( cause he has made short practises due to the injures and he hasn't could practise on carpet in the last months, only 5 days in China ) , with pain ( knees and above all his ankle ) . To sump up, he arrives to the TMC by far out of his best fit. mallorn 11-12-2005, 10:31 AM After Madrid's final his ankle got inflamed ( because of this reason he pulled out of Basel and Paris . This tournament sounds like a real ordeal for him. :( Galaxystorm, could you please tell me how you know about his ankle? I haven’t seen this anywhere else, is this from the Spanish media or some inside info you've got? 1sun 11-12-2005, 12:00 PM I would say the favorite is Nadal, but watching his physical condition everything can happen since Nadal's preparation for the TMC is being as horrible as it's possible... Yesterday i said that Nadal's behaviour complaining about the surface was whining and he should shut his mouth and only play. But about his injuries, he isn't concocting anything . Federer and Nadal, both are the players who arrive to the TMC in the worst physical condition among the 8 players because they have hardly practised and still have pain . A player who practises for a week without running ( hitting the ball statically ) , this player ( Nadal ) isn't pretending , a player who has to shorten his practises isn't pretending. And besides Nadal isn't a player known to be a whinner with the injuries , you must remember when he played and won the match Nadal-Gasquet in Estoril 2004 with the foot broken , it was broken even before the match started. I don't doubt about Federer's injury , it would be very stupid on my part , and i don't understand why some people is doubting about Nadal's physical condition , both players are by far out of their best fit *Viva Chile* 11-12-2005, 02:04 PM Gaston to win it 0-6 6-0 6-1. go Gaston I thought the same before I want to post it   | |
