I thought David is not coming, guess too bad for Mariano....Rafael certainly will have an easier time than Roger advancing who again got in the worse group thanks to
the organizer. Well, hope Roger's winning streak continues.

Agassi will be relieved he's neither in the same group as Roger and Ivan...

Good grouping for Andre... :)

If Ljub's tired, RF's barely moving, and AA's well juiced, he could win it!!

The Red Group is slightly stronger.

Roger and Guille in one group  and then Ivan added as well. Those were the three I would cheer for during the masters.

How is it possible that Nalbandian and Ljubicic are in the same group, as they are the lowest ranked players there? Did Roddick pull out after the draw was made?

Edit: no worries, I forgot Gaudio is ranked between them

roger is in easy groupbut i think he will meet nadal in the final

Agassi will be relieved he's neither in the same group as Roger and Ivan...

Good grouping for Andre... :)

Mary Pierce just beat Kim Clijsters in their latest match...so, who knows...maybe Andre will beat Roger in Shanghai...

nadal has the easier draw no doubt. but none of them are exactly, how should i say, scary hard

Exodus

It's a EASY group for Nadal no doubt about it, Roger has a much more difficult group against Ivan and David.

actually Federer has the easier group than Nadal
both Ljubicic & Naldandian are the on form players

besides they both have to get past robin group

It's a EASY group for Nadal no doubt about it, Roger has a much more difficult group against Ivan and David.Yeah David was a real challenge for him at USO. No doubt Ivan will be as they've played a couple tight matches this year. But I'm not so worried about Nalby. Only if Fed is way out-of-form, but then anyone could possibly beat him.

Coria and Gaudio will continue their impressive streak.

of failure?

i have no idea what can happen in nadal´s group.
we dont know how the knee is doing. agassi is a mistery.
and gaudio showed moments of good indoor playing in paris, but the problem is in the head.

His uncle Toni said that Rafa's both knees are still bothering him and that the training sessions last week did not go that well last week, so I agree that anything can happen in the golden group.

Ivan again against Federer :fiery::sad:

If Ivan and Roger plays same tourney they will meet 100%:(

Gold group :

Rafa - injured knees
Andre - lack of match fitness lately
Nikolay - injured as last heard from Paris
GG - mental problem :p

Red Group :

Roger - injured as well
Guille - poor indoor
Ivan - tired as hell
Nalby - Mental problem :p

8 unfit players in TMC ... this is just great...

True, this place will melt down if Gaudio or Coria win a match, that will be like winning the title.

This would be semis worth seeing

Coria, Davydenko, Gaudio and Nalbandian.

I am serious it's the end of the tennis world as we know it and there are lot more serious things going on in this shitty world than a few players withdrawing from this event. The TMC will suck and all this other stuff, people don't have to watch it, if they don't want.

The crowd in Shanghai will enjoy it and what is the better option that all these withdrawls happen before a Slam.

so it really looks like Ljubicic into the semis........

(however i still believe in the motivating skills of David Nalbandian :worship: )

Agassi and Gaudio will beat Nadal.

I don't know how you can say that's an easy group for Roger. Ljubicic is back in form and he serves like a machine. He was really tough in both the Madrid and the Paris final. I even wonder if his losing those was more mental than anything else because Ljubicic has been in a lot of finals as runner up. He definitely could have won the Madrid final if he had his head together.

it's going to be interesting to see how fed/ljubo/nalby plays out

nadal has a piss easy group :o

i'm going to go out on a limb and say, if gaudio and agassi meet in the first match in their group, gaudio will beat him (just because andre is going to play like crap) and make the semis

Coria is screwed

Coria and Gaudio are both lucky to be in the TMC at all. They didn't do well last year, and no one is expecting them to do well this year. They still get the prestige of being in the TMC.

I'm looking forward to the matches :) anything can happen, fitness questions and all, but hoping it Federer on top all the way home...AA could make the semis, Ljubicic, too, if he is not too tired, and Nadal, yes, too...

True, this place will melt down if Gaudio or Coria win a match, that will be like winning the title.

I could see Gaudio pulling off a win against Davydenko if decides not to tank that match. ;)

Coria's only chance is if he somehow magically finds his form (and serve) and Nalbandian has a bad day.
